Step back in time and enjoy wandering through 12 different gardens, talk with Old Ned and Aunt Martha about their lives over 120 years ago. Afterwards enjoy afternoon tea, Victorian style, with loose tea, proper serviettes all lit by oil lamps. On the menu you will find scones, clotted cream alongside a Ploughman's Lunch, Her Ladyship's & the Brigadier's High Teas. In all an experience of times gone by.

Afternoon tea

Lovely, quirky little Victorian tea room, we ate outside in the garden. Delicious traditional tea with all the usuals.

This is a different experience, set in Victorian times with waitress dressing up. We went to the Sunday sinterklass which included entertainment and afternoon tea. Enjoyable afternoon.

We held our hand-fasting (Pagan Wedding) at Aunt Martha's. It was an amazing experience - the staff helped plan the meal, prepare and cook everything - even our Wedding Cake. They waited on the guests and even provided us with umbrellas - as it was pouring down. Aunt Martha herself gave us an entertaining talk about Marriage. What a day... More

A great evening had by the 4 couples who attended this soiree on 6 November. Entertained for almost 4 hours with good food, good conversation and good story telling. All couples dressing up and set towards the end of the Victoria era. A great way to spend an evening

We had a fantastic time on Saturday. I can't rate the experience high enough, my mother and I opted for Her Ladyships High tea and we weren't disappointed. The staff were polite and catered for special dietary requirements, the atmosphere was wonderful and would highly recommend a visit to anyone. Seeing all the Victorian bits and pieces around brought back... More

I wanted to go some where different to share my 50th birthday with family and friends. I was fortunate to find Aunt Martha's on the web. I would like to say that our experience was everything and more than we expected. Both myself and all my guests were made to feel so special. It was an amazing Victorian experience. I... More
