This is on the beach and the tide needs to be partly out to reach it. I have never come across on oratoire situated on the beach before. Well worth looking at.

Very pretty little cove; worth timing your visit to see it at both low and high tides. At low tide you walk out past the oratory onto the sandy beach which is dotted with huge boulders which are then covered at high tide. The spring...More

Rocks to climb, rock pools to explore, clean beach and then there's the shrine which is very unexpected.

Walking the coastal path, and came across this little shrine. The base gets covered at each high tide, and all is submerged at spring tides. Fascinating, and a very attractive bay and village (best kept village prize in 2015).

If you are in the area it is worth having a look at this Oratoire. It is interesting but not spectacular. the local church is however well worth a visit. Some interesting stain glass windows.

Gorgeous, quiet beach at the end of the "sentier des douaniers". Because it is protected, the water is warm enough to swim comfortably. Great for other water sports like kayaks to explore the rocky shore too. Definitely work a visit.

A monument in a bay which gets surrounded by the tide when it comes in, and great stories related to it, such as young maidens sticking a pin in the statues nose to wish for a good husband!
