Ashgrove cheese farm is 8 km drive from Christmas Hill raspberry farm and it’s the second pitt stop on the tasting trail. The cheese farm is off Bass highway with plenty of quirky colourful cows on the grounds. Free cheese tasting in the cheese shop....More
This was a surprisingly interesting place to visit. Initially I was just intent on purchasing some cheese (and I certainly did), but it was prettier and more interesting than I had imagined. Well worth a visit.
Location on main highway Launceston-Devonport, delightful cheese shop with cute handpainted cows upfront.

After visiting Marakoopa Cave on our way to Launceston were called in to Ashgrove Cheese factory. We had a good look around and eventually chose a big bag of cheese off cuts for $10. We nibbled these off cuts throughout our 13 tour of Tassie....More
Well worth visiting here. There are a number of samples you can taste. Lots of different cheeses to buy.
You also get to see inside the factory which is fun to see.
Lots of things to buy including gifts to take home for friends/relatives.
