I went on two Cenote tours in January 2017 in Cuzama MX. The first time a friend and I took the public bus from Merida to Cuzama. We happened upon Juan in town and his prices were lower than all the other drivers we talked...More

Don't hesitate to book a "guide" that is selling the tour the main road. They are nice people winning some money and they know the places the best! We book Alejandro from Homun, that took us on an "off-road" that we'd never found untill the...More

I went in the cenote with my girlfriend and a friend, we took the truc truc pulled by a horse. For 300 pesos (so 100 each) you have the ride and 3 cenotes, so worth it. We went there in the afternoon and we had...More

My friend and I had heard about cenotes being one of the highlights of the Yucatán - and after recommendations from both TripAdvisor and our hostel in Mérida, we decided to go to the ones in Cuzamá. (For the record, my friend and I are...More

Fun day. We had the experience of the boys on the bikes cutting in front of our car on the way to the cenotes, but after a km or so we were able to get around them. The Palapas restaurant where you park is on...More

We decided to do this trip on the last day before flying back home. The cost was 400 pesos for the round trip to all three cenotes. About 7km out from the cenotes, a pair of local boys bicycled in front of our car and...More

A wonderful experience. Go to Cuzama, go right in front of the yellow church and follow the road all the way to the end - you'll see a big palapa sheltering the restaurant. Park next to the restaurant. This is where the cenote tour first...More

Yucatán is filled with cenotes. Some younger than others, some big some small. If you are pressed for time and can only visit a couple, I recommend the Cuzamá cenotes. There's 3 of them almost side by side and they are all different. it's one...More

My daughter and I are wanting to see these cenotes and wondering if we need to book a tour for safety. I've traveled a lot in my lifetime but being two females and especially a 15 yr old can also be a target. Are we better off booking thru the cruise line? I was hoping to avoid going being taken to ruins and shopping since we mainly want to enjoy cenotes. Any advice is welcome!

Well, if you want to be safe, sure. Book the tour in the boat. But they will definetely take where they want, when they want and on as many shops as possible. Yucatán is very safe and people are extremelly nice. If you have... More
