About
A guided tour to Rotari Winery is an unique experience, a scenic walk-through among wine barrels and barriques in a charming enviroment, perfectly fit into the stunning landscape of the Piana Rotaliana, in the heart of Trentino. The guided tour follows the story of a bottle of Rotari TrentoDoc sparkling wine ending with a wine tasting in the charming Cantina Storica. A very modern wine shop welcomes you with estate-grown wines of uncommon elegance and harmony.

A great wine tour
Sep 2019
Claudia was an excellent guide to this amazing winery. I have been to other winery tours previously but nothing on this scale, the premises was huge. You are taken through the various parts of the building and the processes of wine production in each area are explained to you. There are three wines you taste, they were all delicious but the sparkling was our favourite. There is a shop in a separate building.

Wonderful place to visit for guests and locals
Apr 2019 • Friends
Having lived in this area I've been to a few of the local winery tours, but there is nothing quite like this one.
I've been here a few time now and have recommended it to multiple people who've all enjoyed the tours. This place is a gem on the border of Trentino and Alto-Adige regions. The host is spectacular, guiding you through the entire process, explaining what is done in each and every room and of course, guiding you through the wine tasting experience. It was most interesting to visit in April when the bottling process happens and getting to see all the machinery in work. That said, I would still come here any time of year.
I would also recommend visiting the wine store, where you can buy the Riserva line which isn't sold in most supermarkets and find a selection of wines from all the other regions that they produce their wines in.

Best guided winery tour, hats off to our host Claudia as she made it special!

I would strongly (very very strongly) recommend to visit this winery. We have done winery's guided tour and LOVED IT! It was really magic experience! Claudia, the host, was AMAZING and so passionate about winery that made it really great. She was so knowledgeable and had answer to every question! Also, made a visit so special by taking us to various winery's locations and explaining the processes how the wine is made. It was really special and we will remember it for a long time! The Mezzacorona and Rotary wine is our most favourite wine now! Thanks Claudia and we bought a crate of wines on the way out to bring back to UK for special moments!

Horrible
Aug 2018 • Family
By far the most anoying and stupid winery visit I ever experienced. Paid 10 euro a person even for a child you actually have to pay. Takes almost 2 hours what can be explained in 10 minutes, see nothing really happening, noting about the grape to wine. The best thing was the movie from 6 minutes.
After paid for tasting wines I did not want to taste went to the shop where you can not taste the wine you potential are buying. How stupid can it get. Did a lot of visits in Italië and france. No possibility to taste wine before buying is completely new for me and stupid. You better can go to the supermarket and spare yourself the trip.

Sparkling Wine tour by friendly knowledgeable staff giving a great explanation of the processes involved
Mar 2017 • Solo
Nestling between the towering mountain ranges of the Northern Italian Alto Adige region through which the main route to the Brenner Pass runs there lies the small town of Mezzocorona just south of the major town of Bolzano. It is home to the wine company Mezzacorona. They produce a lot of the regions Pinot Grigio white wine but also have a speciality, Sparkling wine Rotari. The town is just a few minutes’ drive from the exit from the autostrade so it makes a nice stop-off if you are driving to or from the Brenner Pass. It’s worth booking ahead so that one of the English speaking guides will be available. The operation is a large industrial winery housed in very modern buildings. The Sparkling Wine tour is carried out by friendly knowledgeable staff giving a fascinating insight and a great explanation of the processes involved and an informative tasting at the end.

Beautifully done

Being a huge cantina, it is very business oriented, not for those seeking smaller independent wineries. However, the building, grounds, and design is fantastic. The staff were all very friendly. You get a great tasting and tour of the winery, I would definitely recommend it to wine lovers passing through.

English speaking tour with Veronica was great!
Jun 2015 • Couples
Nice tour with an easy to understand explanation of the process. Veronica spoke excellent English. Other friendly staff in the wine shop were willing to help and answer questions. End of the tour included a delicious tasting paired with cheese, meat, and crackers.

Dear Sirs, we are very sorry about your bad feelings about Cantina Rotari. Being your visit unexpected we have not been able to grant you the necessary time and support. Unluckily also our export manager, your ideal partner being in the trade, was unavailable that day. We hope to welcome you in the future for a proper visit and chat among wine lovers... but do not forget to give us a call so to be ready for a great tasting together !!!
