About
The unique Celtic Gardens are widely regarded as one of the most spectacular in Ireland, set within 11 acres of native woodland & wildflower meadows. In addition to the Celtic Gardens visitors can enjoy the nature trail, wildflower meadows, thatched roundhouse and crannóg, and the calendar sundial, the largest in Ireland. Brigit’s Garden is very family-friendly with a younger kids’ discovery trail, Earth Quest challenge for ages 5+, a beautiful Fairy Village, natural playground and lots of opportunity to explore. The Garden Cafe specialises in high quality fresh food, using the best local produce with salads and herbs from the Gardens. Try our chef's seasonal dishes and delicious home-baking. Relax in our light-filled dining area overlooking the Gardens or dine al fresco on the patio. Open daily 10 - 5.30pm.

    Beautiful & fun
€10 entry fee for adults and the child with us was free entry. It’s a beautiful and fun place however we went on a very hot day (25+ degrees) and as there isn’t much shelter we all really felt the heat. But I 100% recommend visiting.
Dear 823vickys. We’re delighted you enjoyed your visit to us and found it beautiful and fun. We have been fortunate with lovely sunny weather this June, which the wildflowers love, but it can get warm. There are shady areas in the native woodland parts of the garden, should you have the chance to visit us again.

    Magical, magical place!
What a special, magical place! As first time visitors to Ireland, this Mary Reynolds garden was on the "Must See" list. It did not disappoint! All three generations of our family had a wonderful time. There are trees that you can tie small pieces of paper on after you've written your wish on it, leave gifts for the fairies, walk on/through the largest sundial and celestial calendar in Ireland, and even make Fairy Soup in the wooded garden near the fairy fire pit. Even if you are not a fan of Celtic legends, it would be great to visit as a family. I came home with many ideas for making my own garden more friendly to the creatures we share the Earth with. We all loved it. Even the non-gardeners!
We so appreciate your kind and thoughtful review and are delighted your visit has you thinking about the creatures in your own garden. How lovely it delighted all three generations of your family!

    A magical wedding venue
We had our small intimate wedding in Brigit's Garden this past weekend and it could not have been more special. Caroline couldn't do enough for us and the day really felt magical. It was so personal and the gardens were stunning. We got some amazing photographs in each of the gardens. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these gardens to anyone looking for a wedding venue or for anyone to visit in general. So thankful to all the staff there for making our day so special.
It was an absolute pleasure to host you and your families, we wish you every happiness for the future and do come and see us again soon! All the best, Caroline & all the Team

    Grand day out
Perfect day out: lots of flowers, trees, bugs etc. Cafe meals were fantastic and the gift shop was lovely! So glad we came! Our group ranged from 81 to 9 years old and everybody was happy.

A fantastic oasis; gorgeous gardens and gift shop and a super cafe with delicious soups/sandwiches/salads and excellent coffee/sweet treats. We stopped off on our way back from the Clifden area - just 2kms off the main road and would absolutely recommend this spot for lunch or a coffee. Stop off here !

This eclectic garden, organized as a series of themed guided walks through a variety of landscapes, is edifying, inspiring, and beautiful. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves very much, and it was a pleasure to see families and schoolchildren, attended by teachers, benefit from the stories, history lessons, and flora identification present in this garden. The staff is pleasant and attentive, the grounds are meticulously well cared for, and there is plenty of space to feel that you are alone when you want to be alone and with your thoughts.

Visited here on a very hot day in May. Really enjoyed resting in the shady areas on our tour of the fabulous garden.
Lovely cafe where we able to have some badly needed cooling drinks.
Gift shop was well stocked with many Irish made products.
Staff were very helpful and pleasant.
Will definitely go back

We found it so expensive 10€ each and 9€ senior. Not a single flower to see. Not worth it.
And the lady is not very kind at the entrance. To compare Muckross Garden in Killarney is free and there you'll see a decent garden. Will not recommend it.

Dear Mika. We are sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your visit to us on Sunday. We try to keep our fees as low as possible, however, as a not-for-profit we rely on the entry fee for our operations. We’re always open to concession entry, should anyone need to avail of it. The Celtic-themed gardens themselves are full of native and wild plants & flowers which may differ from those you’d expect to see at Victorian houses and those types of attractions. We have meadows that we are rewilding, as well as woodlands and areas full of wildflowers at the moment. We do pride ourselves on offering a warm welcome and would like to hear about your experience if you would please contact us directly.
