The unique Celtic Gardens are widely regarded as one of the most spectacular in Ireland, set within 11 acres of native woodland & wildflower meadows. In addition to the Celtic Gardens visitors can enjoy the nature trail, wildflower meadows, thatched roundhouse and crannóg, and the calendar sundial, the largest in Ireland. Brigit’s Garden is very family-friendly with a younger kids’ discovery trail, Earth Quest challenge for ages 5+, a beautiful Fairy Village, natural playground and lots of opportunity to explore. The Garden Cafe specialises in high quality fresh food, using the best local produce with salads and herbs from the Gardens. Try our chef's seasonal dishes and delicious home-baking. Relax in our light-filled dining area overlooking the Gardens or dine al fresco on the patio. Closed Mon & Tues. Limited menu on Wed & Thurs. Full menu Fri, Sat & Sun.

An exceptional garden that shows the beauty of the region through the seasons, if you are lucky enough to be in Ireland through the year. A nature trail winds through various sections of the gardens which feature native trees and flowers. There are many places that will interest children, too, a fairy woods, a play area, and a calendar sundial that will challenge even the adults to figure it out. There is also a small dining room for anyone needing some food or refreshment. Unfortunately none of my photos will load, so you will have to go and see for yourself.

Thank you Susan P. We are grateful for the positive review. Right now we are approaching autumn and gently the leaves are beginning to fall. Its great to be able to connect with nature throughout the year and we hope to see you again later this season. Best wishes, The team at Brigit's Garden

We had planned a Celtic traditional handfasting ceremony for our wedding and once we visited Brigit's Gardens we knew we had the perfect location.

The Gardens themselves are absolutely beautiful (even on the rainy days) and we were able to arrange a personalised ceremony followed by a beautiful intimate reception.

I want to say a special thank you to Caroline and the fantastic assistance she gave us with arranging not just the ceremony but also helping with suggestions on caterers for drinks and canapes as well as taking care of absolutely everything on the day so we were free to relax and enjoy our wedding.

For anyone looking for a special place for their special day, or even just a walk through some fantastic landscape I cannot recommend Brigit's Gardens highly enough.

We will certainly be regular visitors there now :)

Whilst we are still basking in the afterglow of our magical fairy wedding at St brigits garden I wanted to try to pen a review that would in some way do the gardens and it’s staff justice. We booked our wedding in January 2019 with Caroline and liaised with her from start to finish, through two cancellations due to the pandemic until finally our big day on July 9th 2022. I don’t think words can fully describe the magic that is brigits garden, not only the beautiful gardens that provide the most stunning setting for photographs but the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, that made each and every one of our guests feel like they were the only one. We had a fairy themed wedding so having all the little ones running around in their fairy wings, playing in the playground enjoying the freedom the gardens provided was the perfect child centred wedding we had dreamed of. Caroline was absolutely amazing, she headed a seamless day, sheltering us from any stress, offering us everything from wonderful ideas, fabulous local contacts, and even advice to my other half on how to step back and smell the flowers and let her handle the logistics. She helped us to create our dream day, she totally got our vision and made sure we got what we imagined in every way. Every one of our guests were blown away by the ceremony and the place itself, so much so that our videographer was arranging for his fiancé to come and visit the gardens in the hope he could entice her to get married there too. A special mention also to the wonderful chef Martina who’s canapés in the garden Prosecco reception and the delicious sharing menu which was the perfect choice for an intimate family gathering were talked about amongst out wedding party for the days that followed. . It was truly exquisite. We will return to St, brigits garden every time we are in Galway not only to reignite our memories of that glorious day but also to see those gorgeous people who are at the heart of this special place. If you are looking for a unique and alternative venue to a church/ hotel wedding you will not find anywhere as breathtaking as St brigits garden. Trust us ❤️

We first discovered the Gardens as we brought the kids to Sunshine Festival in 2019. We were enthralled at the beauty, the abundance of nature, the Celtic Themes which were interwoven throughout the gardens. At the time, we were entertaining a fairy wedding and these gardens soon became the heart and soul of this wedding. We got to meet Caroline early on, and she helped us create the vision of what it would look like. She became our go to person for everything to do with creating a wedding, and she was always responsive and engaged even though our wedding planning process stretched over 3 years after two reschedules due to COVID-19.

In what still seems surreal that it actually happened, we finally had the wedding on 9th July, a time of year Caroline suggested to be amidst the gardens in full bloom. From the start, Caroline recognised that we wanted this wedding to be child-centred and many elements like having children’s activities and gathering all the children around the ‘altar’ were her suggestions and we’re so thankful when we look back at photos to see them all included and at the heart of the ceremony. We embraced the thought of kids running free and the photos show their joy in the freedom they had. She understood it was family-centred as well, and delivered sharing menus to allow guests a feeling of sitting around a home-cooked dish as a family. She got that it was Celtic and everything from walking up through the standing stones to suggesting our most revered celebrant, Dara Molloy were in line with this wish. The invite to take flowers from the garden for the wedding meant that we had most exquisite bouquet of flowers from the garden on the day.

On the day itself, she ran what was a daunting logistical operation of catering for 100 guests incl. like 20 kids, photographer, videographer, face painter and for having it all run so smoothly, so that we never knew any stresses behind the scenes. She made sure we were looked after and didn’t need worry about a thing. Credit to the incredible team at Brigit’s Garden including chef Martina - we so looked forward to savouring the food and knew that this was a key part of the body and soul nourishing that these Gardens are known for. All the staff who were brilliant and always smiling…everyone felt so welcome. At no point during the organising, or the event itself did any request or whim seem too much and in fact, I was so happy to see all the last-minute additions I brought on the day were incorporated seamlessly from the cut out name which I found hung above us for dinner to the little jars I brought which I found filled with flowers. The attention to detail and desire to fulfill on all of our wishes to create something even more wondrous than we could have imagined is the hallmark of a superb wedding planner.

We will delight in returning to the Gardens at any opportunity - it may be bittersweet as we retrace our steps through the stones that day or sit in the Bealtaine garden in which we got married, but it will always be a coming home of sorts. Coming home to the place which inspired our souls that day and captivated all our guests such that they were all on a joyous, love-filled high and many felt it was one of the best weddings they’d ever been to.

A great place to spend Easter! Even in the wind and rain, this place was absolutely magical. The Celtic gardens were fascinating and the whole place felt removed from the hustle and bustle of Galway.

this garden is well laid out and a low key pleasure, we spent a long time drinking in the atmosphere, the plants, the pools and woodland. There is a good climbing frame for the kids. The cafe had a good range of food too.

What a treasure this was! I am here from New York for a conference and had a Sunday afternoo free. Met up with an Irish friend and she and another friend of hers took me here. What a delight! The cafe was just perfect, sandwiches and salads and soups. The desserts were spectacular and lovely coffee. Then we strolled the gardens and every turn in the path was another wonder. What a perfect Sunday afternoon. The Faery Gardens were so delightful. I am so incredibly happy we got to go here.
