While walking around the old town we came across this lovely old Church, it is one of the better preserved ruins in the town. Always makes me a bit sad that all the work gone into a beautifull building like this has been left for...More

One of many church ruins found in Cosby, but probably the most complete of the lot. Beautiful vaults and architecture, making it quite suggestive. Pity it was not accessible like the other ruins and we could have a look through the glass door.

Nice runs, you can buy great ice-cream in the nearby shop and wander around. Not too big, so you can take it as a quick stopover while exploring the city.

If you are expecting more than ruins this is not the place for you. But for the fact that the walls are still standing so high and are very much in tact speaks to what an impressive place this is.

Our son was married here. It is an amazing well preserved ruin in the city square. It allows you to wonder at the craftsman and laborers that built this amazing building

Went walking along the Visby City wall and came upon this ruin. Nothing is left on the interior , just saw present day benches. From the exterior , the church looks gorgeous, standing high and huge, with no roof top. Has seen its days.

A ruin not to be missed as it is such a great part of Visby’s history. It was beautiful during both the day and in the evening.

Nice place to visit when you love history, but when you have seen some middle age ruins there has nothing special. Just good place to look once.
