“Strada del Barolo e dei grandi vini di Langa” (Barolo Great Wines of Langa Trail) has the purpose of enhancing, promoting and energising the territory where the valuable wines of Langa are produced. The Trail gathers the municipalities of Alba, Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, Cherasco, Diano d’Alba, Dogliani, Grinzane Cavour, La Morra, Monchiero, Monforte d’Alba, Montelupo Albese, Novello, Roddi, Roddino, Rodello, Serralunga d’Alba, Sinio and Verduno, in an extraordinary journey into the very heart and soul of the territory, where the main character is, indeed, the Wine. But in the background reigns the great patrimony of culture and tradition, the exuberance of nature with its enchanting hills and vineyards. Everything is flavoured by the strong, yet warm, character of the people of Langa who are always willing to kindly welcome visitors and lovers of good wine and food within their cellars, restaurants, b&b, hotels, workshops and museums.

I visited this event when it was touring to Copenhagen. Although none of the top name Barolo producers were present, the exhibition boasted plenty of really high quality wine. All of the exhibitors were warm and welcoming, enthusiastically describing and discussing their wines. There is...More

If France has Pomerol, Italy has two: Barolo and Montalcino. With so many self-promoting competitions and ratings, one can easily get lost and fooled with medals, Parker ratings, etc. When you buy wine from Barolo (Pomerol or Montalcino), you don't need ratings. Even the wine...More

Fantastic country, beautiful sights and wines! A real treasure of this country. Barolo, Nebiolo, Barbera d'Asti and Barbera d'Alba and many, many others... You have to try this!

This part of Italy could be called a secret pearl in Italy,. Extra ordinary landscape, great food and wine in typical italian atmosphere, no mass tourism (also not the accomodation for that, hopes it stays so) and beautiful cities in the area like Torino, Alba,...More

We visited this beautiful part of Italy in May 2012. It is heaven for food and wine lovers. Fantastic walking opportunities if you over indulge. Really hope to go back one day soon.
