This is a small wildlife park just on the northern border of the Mornington Peninsula, and south of Melbourne. The park itself appears to be going through a period of rejuvenation, and it needs to. A number of the enclosures are quite small, for example the cage containing two kookaburras was nowhere near big enough. The emphasis is on native... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the evening tour of the sanctuary where our guide Claudia told us lots of interesting facts about the nocturnal animals we saw. There was opportunities to feed several animals and though we had to stick together as a group we didn't feel rushed. The full moon, together with the animal/ bird sounds made for a memorable evening.... More

This was our first trip to Australia. We hadn't managed to see a Koala in the wild and was reluctant to visit a zoo, however this is nothing like a zoo but a lovely environment for all the animals. I even managed to cuddle a Koala here, an experience I will never forget. You can also tell that the keepers... More

The tour was excellent. The guide was very friendly and informative. The kids can get up close and feed the animals.

We visited this great sanctuary with our family, including a 3 year old and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We arrived soon after opening, so were able to walk around without many other people around. It is well laid out and very easy to walk around and view all the birds and animals. Feeding the wallabies and kangaroos is, of... More

We received the tip mentioned above when calling for information. Um, we did not follow the tip. And I think that impacted the enjoyability of our stay. The place opened at 10 AM, when apparently the animals are hungry. We arrived around 12:30 PM. It was frustrating at first, as the kangaroos and wallabies ignored our pleadings to eat just... More

Thank for your comments. Unfortunately you did visit in our busiest, and the hottest, time of the year. This does impact on the animals activity as you noted, Visiting earlier in the day the animals would have been more active. We have tried to reduce the barriers between animals and people to a minimum, but obviously this is not working.... More

This place was great. I was able to pet a koala (which you have to pay extra for, but totally worth it) and feed kangaroos. If you want to have that fun Australian experience, then this place is a great value and super fun. However, it is kind of a haul from CBD Melbourne and it is at max a... More

Thanks for your review and your recommendation. If travelling down this way a day tripper can also visit the Australian Garden at Cranbourne, tour the beautiful Mornington Peninsula with its wineries and beaches or go onto the wildlife attractions on Phillip Island. More

We had guests from Vietnam with young children and we spent a day at this park. It was one of the best experiences for our guests they could have had with the close up sessions with the Dingoes and Koalas a real treat. then plenty of Kangaroos to feed and pat made for wonderful day for all.

This is my third visit to this sanctuary; the last time was three years ago. They have renovated vast parts of the complex while keeping nature simple. They have made the viewing and learning more enjoyable. We love the wallaby walk where we fed several wallabies with our hands - love it. This is without a doubt our most enjoyable... More

It was a great place for our two kids for their first encounter with free roaming kangaroos and wallabies. They loved feeding them and taking pictures with koala. The highlight was the laughing kookaburra!
