The oldest one of the German Stud Farms (502 years!) run bei the state. You can walk through the very clean stables and watch the famous thoroghbreds. You´ll find explanations and merchandise at the visitor center. Great place not only for enthusiasts but also for families with children. Tournaments and events year round, also coach trips etc!

We were in the area and stop by for an unplanned visit. I had never heard of this place. Holy cow! What a rich history! This is so beautiful and huge. There is so much to see including many horses to view. Wow! I have never seen anything like it.

We had a horse drawn carriage ride in the countryside. It helped that the weather was good. It was like going back In Time. We had a 90 minute ride through the forest. It was a nice change from driving around.

Spent a day with friends while visiting Germany on Business, they took me to the Marbach, we were able to get close to a lot of really beautiful horses and watch them running and playing in the pastures. We visit quite frequently when driving past as the idyllic Grosse Lauter River Valley with one of Germany's highest concentration of castles is our favorite drive in Germany.
