A rather family based beach. Not very clean waters and way too many sea weed. The raft is nice for kids and also the shallow waters.

The beach is very calm and perfect for kids. But, beware, the seaweed area has some sort of coral that stings. A few applications of aloe helped relieve the sting.

It did not appear to be clothing optional. Everyone was wearing swim wear or other clothing. I believe Orient Bay beach is the only "clothing optional" beach.

No the French gov. has decided to leave everything as is. The school's on the french side use one end of the beach for like a gym class of swimming. So the restaurant and bathrooms are safe for a long time.
