Nice experience

Surprisingly well stocked zoo in the middle of nowhere. Can be expensive to enter so make sure you get a "Genusscard". Had food, ice cream and beverages inside. Well worth a visit... read more

I went there with my husband and my five-year-old daughter. There is a huge variety of animals that are kept well and free in their environment. The family ticket is worthy the visit, as it is well maintained and available even to disabled people. Really impressive!

This park is very large and you should expect to cover a large area by walking, and not only flat path ways, they are several steep tracks and uneven paths. So great exercise as well as a tiring, but fun day!

It's a huge zoo with a nice park, with a castle to visit too (a small excursion there possible, but not with a pram - too many stairs, damn you no name middle age architect!!), you can go for a bit hiking behind the castle too. There are also a couple of cool playgrounds for kids and not only :D... More

Not the largest number of animals, however it does give all of them a huge amount of space to roam around in. Does mean that there are quite some distances to cover between animals and to find them hiding!

The park is very beautiful, immersed in the nature. The animals have huge spaces, although some of them are very difficult to be seen (especially the Puma). Probably the best attraction are the monkeys and the buffalos. It's worth to pay the (quite expensive) ticket for a visit and I suggest to schedule a whole day. There are several restaurants,... The main attraction was the Lion King !!! It is a very well maintained zoo. Loved this place. Would like to visit again. :) They have provided the perfect habitat for all the animals. It is a nice and quiet place. The castle is also pretty!

I love animals and I think that animals should live in their habitat. The Tierpark Herberstein is a excellent zoo since animals have lot of room to move around. The zoo is very large and you surely spend a day in contact with nature. Perfect for family and children since it has picnic areas and other facilities.

2 Thank Claudia M
