About
Cloughjordan House is an 800 year old country house set in Co Tipperary. What began as a cookery school has now become a premium wedding venue. The cookery school was started due to Sarah Baker's passion and love of fresh and "real" food. This love of fantastically tasty local food conveys in the wedding food on offer at the venue. Cloughjordan House offers a relaxed country house party venue with the marquee seating up to 180. The romantic ballroom with it's large open fireplace is used for humanist and civil ceremonies and then comes alive after dinner for music and dancing. You can also enjoy your ceremony on the front lawn, in the forest or woodshed. There is a covered BBQ area (the Asado) where the party atmosphere can continue to make a full two or three days of fun. Cloughjordan House has accommodation for over 80 guests. At Cloughjordan House the focus is on family, friends, good quality and tasty food and a relaxed atmosphere.

We had our wedding at Cloughjordan House and could not have asked for a better experience for our guests or any more from every member of staff. Nothing was too big an ask and it really struck a chord with us just how accommodating everyone was.
When we first viewed the venue, Mac (the dog) helped show us around and we just felt so at home. We loved the uniqueness of the various accommodation rooms, the ethos, the history and the little personal touches, and of course the cosiness of the Asado.
The buildup to our wedding was an absolute pleasure and we really enjoyed that everyone was relaxed but very much on top of everything required.
We had our ceremony in the woodshed and it was just perfect, we had the most incredible day as a couple but nothing could have prepared us for the constant lovely praise our guests shared with us! One described it as a holiday, another described it as an extravaganza and another as a festival of love and craic. The food was constantly complimented and everyone couldn’t get over the consistent quality of each dish served, the breakfast is also next level!
Cloughjordan House is a very special venue and we truly cannot recommend it enough. If we ever renew our vows we know where we are going!

We were there for our sons wedding for 50, we had also had a smaller service for 8 in April. From the moment we arrived we were treated like friends, nothing was too much for them. Fantastic setting for a wedding, staff to a person were really friendly and of the highest standard, the wedding setting in the woods was perfect and the reception later simply was the best, we actually all had a meal the evening before the wedding and both dinners as well as the breakfast both days were out of this world

Cloughjordan was the only wedding venue we visited and felt like we needed to visit. The feeling of home hits you once you park up and walk around. The staff were all so helpful and amazing at what they do, especially Julie and our wedding coordinator Grace. Grace went above and beyond her role, she helped us create exactly our vision for what we wanted our day to be. The food was fantastic from the canapés, late night munchies, breaky and day 2 bbq. All our guests were raving about the standard that Cloughjordan provided. The accommodation was perfect and the variety of rooms were perfect for all guests young and old. We couldn't recommend a wedding venue more and hope we get to come back in the future.

My experience at Cloughjordan House was wonderful. I was fortunate enough to be there to attend a wedding. Every aspect it of it was handled perfectly and set in different breathtakingly beautiful locations on the grounds and house. All I could think of was that I must come back with my husband or for the cooking classes. The food was outstanding... even what I thought I might not order was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and did a superb job. We stayed in the Cowshed and it worked just fine for us. You will never regret your stay at the lovely Cloughjordan House and it is a magical place for a wedding.

Attended a wedding here in September 2022 and I will say it's a great venue for a wedding - beautiful location, great dance area, games on the lawn etc. However staff could do with training, there were a lot of hiccups and small unneccessary issues. Also I would never stay in the cowshed accommodation again; there is NO soundproofing. You can hear conversations (and other 'activities') happening in the rooms beside you. Somebody was vomiting in the room beside us and it woke us up at 6am which was very unpleasant. And there's glass on the door to the room, so if the light in the hallway turns on in the middle of the night (it's motion sensor) it will light up your room and wake you up.

Since receiving your review we have taken action to replace the small frosted windows on the doors to blackout and further steps to better sound proof our these areas.

We've just returned from Cloughjordan House where we celebrated my sisters Hen Party and I honestly could not recommend it highly enough. To say we were blown away would be putting it lightly! From the minute we booked to the second we left, every single staff member of CJH were so so helpful. A special thanks to Jessica and Roisin. The accommodation (The Cowsheds) was lovely and stylish and we had the full use of the common room which was perfect for our needs. The food was absolutely fab - a beautiful fresh menu and breakfast was incredible with a great selection to suit everyone. Amazing setting, amazing value for money. Already thinking of excuses to go back!

Our daughters wedding reception was held in Cloughjordan House over a weekend at the beginning of May 2024.
From start to finish the weekend was spectacular.
From Grace, the wedding coordinator to all the staff each, and everyone of them were amazing.
The food was out of this world. Day 2 was an Argentinian barbecue, which again was faultless.
The venue itself was fantastic. On-site accommodation for the guests was top notch.
To be honest, I couldn’t find any fault with the weekend.

We got married in CJH in May 2023, and could not have asked for more. Julie was absolutely incredible and was always available, no question was too big or small! We had the most magical day, our guests loved it there, and managed to have most of the guests stay on site too! Chef Claire was wonderful, and all of the staff were so kind. A family member had an emergency the morning after the wedding and all of the staff were unbelievably kind and helpful, we are so grateful. I would recommend CJH to anyone, you will have the best day of your life!!! Thanks again guys xxx

Absolutely the most beautiful venue. It was seriously a fairytale. So romantic and beautiful. The staff was very accommodating. I have a lot of dietary needs and they accommodated them all. Speaking of food, the food was OH MY GOSH. Amazing!! I came to Cloughjordan House from Texas, had my wedding weekend for 60 people sight unseen and I would not change it for anything. It was better than the photos. Highly recommend for a destination wedding.

This venue is amazing and we had a wonderful time here at our nephews wedding. The staff were so professional and helpful. The place is kept in immaculate condition. The weather was mixed but there was opportunities to play table tennis and kick some ball. The ceremony was really special. Well done all involved.
