If you have an interest in birding, photography or both this is one of the best places in Costa Rica you could hope to stubble across. I spent two mornings here and managed to get great shots of dozens of species, including all three species of toucan in the area and even several endangered great green macaws. Both father and... Visited the Nature Park on two consecutive days, and would have done more if it had not been for the first ever hurricane to hit Costa Rica! They have a covered platform with a nearly 360 degree field of view of the various bird feeding stations. In two days I photographed approx. 25 different species of birds. The bird activity... More

We were visiting the Nature Pavillion with smaller expectations on the duration of our stay due to our schedule and its rather smaller size when reaching the parking lot from the street. The more we were suprised about all the great expertise of Dave about the abundant bird life and his interest in explaining the intention of the setup. This... More

Wonderful place to see birds. We spent five hours here. Dave and Dave are so friendly and keep putting out food for the birds. Light is a little challenging for photography, but we had a great time.

Dave and Dave have a wonderful property where they have been planting native plants to provide habitat for the birds. They have set up feeding stations to make it easy to see many native birds. I really enjoyed it and appreciated Dave's helpful identification of birds!

We stopped here on our way from Tortuguero to La Fortuna and received a warm welcome. Quite pricey ($20 p.p.), but Dave and Dave are very informative and learned us a lot about Costa Rica's bird life. We have seen lot's of birds and you can take all the time you want. Don't forget to walk the trail to spot... More

Spend an hour or more sitting and watching the many types of hummingbirds and other forest birds up close and personal. We went twice - because it... More
