Our local wine merchant had arranged for a visit to Cantine Due Palme. The entrance was a little difficult to find but when we did, oh boy, what a operation. we stopped to buy some local wine, that we had tried before. not so easy to find. once your in the little town its ok, but to get there….

Tour the factory, don't expect to see the vines as the grapes are sourced from many villages nearby. Very interesting to see the process, the rogues gallery of producers and the many awards won by the wine. We enjoyed a tasty lunch and the tour guide was informatiive but quietly spoken. This is one of the regions largest wineries and it has a fantastic selection of wines. We took the lunch deal which was very good for the price. Our guide sat with us over lunch and we were able to learn about the different grape growers and harvesters all around the region that contribute the the Cantine Due Palme wines.... More

even if i prefer Leone de Castris wich is the elderst Cantina. You can find very god also Candido for the red and many more

Our guide, who spoke excelent English, had a very wide knowledge of the wine making process & history of the winery. The tour covered the full process from the arrival of the grapes to the the finished bottles. This is an impressive modern facility using state of the art processes to produce high quality Puglian wines from locally grown grapes.... More
