Bernkastle Kues Retail Store
May 2017
This retail location is in the tourist area of Bernkastle. The retail clerk whom I am not sure was the owner was very knowledgeable and friendly. He has tasting for any product in the store and you can sample as much as you want. He never seemed hurried and spoke fluent English.

You sample the wines, oil, snaps, liquors, and vinegars and get to choose the bottle and packaging. Bottles are available from 100 ml up to liter size.

There were foods for sample in the back of the store area with cheeses, sauces, and jellies. The store was very clean and modern.

It was just a fun, tasty, place to visit. Our dog was welcomed there as he was in all the stores and restaurants in Bernkastle. This is a very family friendly and pet friendly area.

It's a nice shop in the centre of Cochem, The staff is very friendly and speak multiple languages.
We where looking for a few specific types of wine and the shop owner was very helpfull; they explained which grapes were used from which slopes and the proces of wine makery. They really took the time to help/educate us to make a good choice.
And of course they let you taste all the wines in different categories.

Try the icewine (great dessert wine)

We loved the wines in e premium selection and actually purchased some red blends. Great shop featuring not only wines, be other liquids (whiskey, oil, vinegar other liqueurs like limoncello, etc) for purchase by the 100ml with containers available. Enjoyed our tastings and look forward to drinking our purchases!

Nice little cellar to have wines

Old dark little place with good wines, but the food menu was not that great actually. Some little bites with some peculiar German items...

Nice wine shop with tasting

We were given the choice of tasting three wines here, and bought a couple bottles as well. Their wines ended up being our favorite that we found in Cochem. Lovely little shop -- highly recommended!

Wine Cellar
Aug 2015 • Couples
This place was very nice. They had a great selection of liquor and wines to taste from. I loved the fact that it was actually in a cellar and very old looking. Prices were wonderful and quality is perfect.

Wonderful weekend

We stayed in Ediger in a wonderful place built in the 1500's rented out by Walter J. Oster. They had a wine tasting room right down the path. It was incrediby romantic. Their wine is my absolute favorite (blue label Dornfelder). I bought a few cases of wine, and even my own grape vine to plant in my yard :)

We were here for wine tasting, and got a very good selection of wines to taste. The presented wines were extraordinary! The older man that helped us choose wines was very 'autentic' albeit had about as good english as our german. Very nice indeed!
