Our cousin who lives in Bonn brought us here and it was really nice. The tram was really an experience. You can see the river Rhine below!

You can stand on the terrace and admire the distant spires of Köln cathedral, but you cannot walk the historic mule track or get anywhere near the famous ruins because of risk of rockfall. The massive cafe has a very routine feel to it. In...More

Schloss Drachenburg and Drachenfels castle are well worth the visit. The ride up the mountain on the tram and castle admission take you back in time to what I can only imagine would have been an amazing period. The castle is furnished with beautiful period...More

This was an awesome visit! Rich with history and local legends, it was very cool to stand in the spot that Siegfried slain the dragon (according to local lore). There was also a cute biergarten that overlooked the river, which was beautiful. Getting to the...More

This is an amazing place to go when you are in the region , the walk to this place is very beautiful , a lot of roadsignals so you never get lost . The period in spring is the most beautiful period to go.

We were in the area to look at Drachenburg castle and decided to walk further up the mountain to visit the Drachenfels remains. There are just a few stone walls still standing, but the view from the top of the mountain overlooking the Rhein is...More
