- Allan B1 contributionAnother perfect stay!5th time here (for a reason) It’s been a thrill coming here since my daughter was 9 years old (now she’s 15) Every time we have come we wanted to try something wilder and new as she grew up. This time everything was tried (except toxic garden as it wasn’t riding). Colossus and scream are the favourites, but “demon” came very close and may be coming a favourite next time. We stayed in a themed room in the hotel and enjoyed both breakfast and evening buffet very much. See you next October!!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 21 October 2023
- Marcus ABerlin, Germany6 contributionsGreat Park and Hotel for FamiliesGreat Park with many attractions for all ages. Most of the rollercoasters are for 12 years old or more. I also recommend the thematic rooms in the Hotel. There are options even for rainy days in the Hotel. Recommend!Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 29 October 2023
- globbey15Groningen, The Netherlands7 contributionsBeautiful parkFirst of all this park was one of the most beautiful theme parks I have ever been. Much eye for details. We were there on Halloween but it was very confusing that the attractions closed at 5pm even though I had purchased a day ticket. I assumed that for the entrance fee of 49 euros per person we could stay until 10 p.m., even on the evening of the Halloween festival, but we had to buy a separate ticket for that. Very confusing and also very expensive. As for the food: Many of the same food stalls, little variety, fries everywhere. And very expensive. Very nice coasters, nice system that allowed you to see the current waiting time of the queue, although it varied, sometimes it was 20 minutes longer than advertised, sometimes it was 20 minutes shorter. It was strange that the park is so ultra-modern but with an outdated mascotte.Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 3 November 2023
- Warren P48 contributionsMonorailGreat day at the park Buffet at Krake was very tasty , good value for money. Rides were very thrilling and queue times ok bobahn was the only one long an hour i think Design issue needs more room for people. Very nice location with the lake and Wildlfe the only downside is the walking. They need a monorail around the whole park.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 28 April 2024
- christine409Southampton, United Kingdom21 contributionsIn the middle of nowhere. Strictly only for people with a car! It's a lovely place with some great rides: Scream and Colossus especially are the best of their kind I've seen anywhere. The landscaping is nice and it's got a lot for small children as well as thrill rides. But hey, is this place in the middle of nowhere! There is just no way to get to it by public transport and there are no shuttle buses... I did use the one hourly train and apart from having to walk along a road for half an hour to get to the park and back, on our return home the trains were all cancelled at short notice with no reason given, and we had to pay over £100 for a taxi to get us to the nearest populated town where there were any trains. Absolutely, do not go here unless you have a car!Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 30 April 2024
- fayaz f1 contributionCould be better-ishThey really need a shuttle between the Wolterdingen station and the park, the 2km walk is a joy killer. The Toxic Garden ride is somehow of a hazard considering how much your head bangs against the seat during the ride. Apart from that, pleasant experienceVisited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 June 2024
- Ugne Marija G1 contributionAmazingThe rides were amazing and the waiting time in queues was quite short varying from 0 to 35min. The park maps were really clear and it was easy to navigate around. You can find an activity for anyone!Visited June 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 19 June 2024
- AK AJönköping, Sweden4 contributionsNice park for order childrenNice park suitable for kids 1-5 and 11+. My 7 year old was too young for the top 7 attractions and too old for Peppa pig land etc. Long ques to most attractions unfortunately and very long distances. Food was not worth it at all and very expensive. But a good day, nice park but kids should be at least 11 yeras old to get the most of it. Heide park sould really consider virtual ques.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 25 July 2024

- S H1 contributionGreat for family trips, except for one thing...Positive: ++ Good rides (when they are open) ++ clean park and toilets despite lots of people visiting ++ Staff is very friendly, making sure everyone enjoys the day Negative: - We visited with kids (6-10 years) and some of the rides they could theoretically use, were closed -- The food at the colossos snackbar was awful. I don't expect much from Fastfood, but this one hit a negative record (and was quite expensive as well). Overall, we had a great time in the park. We came on a Sunday, the park was quite crowded, but still the waiting times at the rides were quite ok (waited max 30 minutes, but average about 15 minutes). What I'd hope for is better food. I'd accept the prices if the food had adequate quality.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 27 August 2024

The experience with Heide Park is a bitter one. Even if the cancellation policy is very clear stated in English on their website and they also confirmed us on the email:
''A cancellation 21 days prior to arrival can be made free of charge. If the guest withdraws from the contract between 20 and 10 days prior the scheduled day of arrival, one is charged a cancellation fee of 50% of the total amount of the booked service.(....)''
They refuse to transfer our money back, implying that the T&C, in German, say that this above policy does not apply to Special Offers. It is obviously not a random omission, and the purpose is clearly that of misinforming their international clients.
It is a misleading policy to just present, in English, half of the information and this is abusive treatment and proof of bad intention. For sure, the purpose is in misleading the clients and also lack of transparency.

Absolutely loved this park, there are only a few things I would suggest as improvements.
Perhaps a couple more toilets within the park, sometimes we would have to walk to the other side of the park to get to a toilet.
The emergency pull cables in the disabled toilets weren’t floor length as they should be.
And they could do with enforcing the smoking areas more as people were smoking pretty much wherever they fancied and that led to me having to use my inhaler quite a bit.
The size of the park is absolutely perfect, I’ve not been to another theme park which is as good as this.
It was a lovely mix between a large park and a small park. The staff were very friendly, the only exception being those on the photo stands, when I would try to scan my code for the photo, I had purchased the photo package which is a brilliant idea and I recommend it to everyone who goes there, they would ask me multiple times what I was doing and even when I explained that I had already purchased it they would continue asking.
The longest we had to wait for a ride was 20 minutes and please consider that this was on a weekend during the school holidays!
An absolutely amazing park that I highly recommend to anyone who loves theme parks but struggles with the large parks.
Also, the frozen Fanta drinks are to die for!
My only other comment is that more of the rides should have the rubber harness within the seat the same way that Flug Der Dämonen has as i had a couple issues with rattling around within some of the rides seats and that harness fit perfectly on that ride.
Also, the ride staff were checking each person multiple times before letting a train go which was lovely to see. We also saw some younger kids that had tried to sneak in get declined to ride as they didn’t fit properly. It’s nice to see them taking safety serious.
There are also quite a lot of dogs in the park, which is fine but some of them weren’t quite as well behaved as others so take that in mind.
It was my boyfriends first time at a theme park and I would definitely recommend it as a first theme park experience.

All in all, we and our children had a lot of fun. We recommend bringing food and drinks with you as it is overpriced here and if you are with your family of 5 people, it can be very expensive.
There is also no prayer room, you are usually there all day, and then you want/have to pray as a Muslim or of another religion.
Otherwise, highly recommended!

I visited the park with friends on a Saturday when the weather was nice. Because of the expected rush of visitors, we had each booked the "Express Butler (Gold)" so that we didn't have to wait too long in line for the most important attractions. This meant that we were able to use the most important rides (Colossos, Big Loop, Kraken, Desert Race, log flume, etc.) at least once.
There's nothing wrong with the attractions themselves - the rides are still fun, especially if you haven't been to an amusement park for a while. What you start to dislike more and more after spending a few hours in the park, however, is the extreme level of commercialization that has now been achieved here: almost everything costs extra - with the entrance fee alone, you can hardly do much more than walk around the park at the weekend. Anyone who has the Express Butler Platinum (+100 € pp) or at least Gold (+50 € pp) installed on their mobile phone is welcome - otherwise you can also book an "express ride" on site for 10 € or more and buy your way to the front row of the queue at many attractions. Even if you are one of the "VIP visitors", the spontaneity and naturalness of the park visit that you know from before suffers, as you spend most of your time using your smartphone to serve the Express Butler, check waiting times and have QR codes ready. A snapshot of the rollercoaster ride is still included - for an additional charge of 24 € directly to your mobile phone. Each larger ride also has its own "shop", but ultimately you can only buy completely overpriced knick-knacks there. The quality of the food and drinks is below average, often they are prepared carelessly and lack any individual touch - but airport prices apply here too. It's also not nice that cash payments are no longer possible - even the locker in which we initially stored our luggage had to be paid for with PayPal.
Conclusion: The great rides are the only good thing about the park. The whole thing, the constant money-making and rip-offs at every turn, combined with a "system" that divides visitors into classes and makes every rollercoaster ride bureaucratic and complicated, ultimately spoils the visit. There are far better alternatives.

The weather is truly glorious. Accordingly and since the holidays started all over Germany it was also well attended (on a Monday).
So the queues were long (often over 60min for a 1min ride).
In short, we decided to add the silver package. That worked great on the first ride, but shortly after the data was gone, no email was received (not even in spam).
So we had to go all the way back to the entrance to the info shop, because we could only be helped there.
Finally arrived, no waiting time, friendly and courteous staff and we realize on the margins that this problem has occurred more often on that day. Not nice information.
Egal. The sympathetic employee sent the email again without further ado, since my email address was nevertheless already noted.
So everything went smoothly in the end. BUT after our experience at the queue we wanted to expand our additional booking: ergo to pay from silver to platinum package and have assumed that this is safely possible on site at the service point with the difference amount... PUSTEKUCHEN.
Complementing the previously purchased package with differential payment is NOT possible. However, we would like to buy the Platinum package at the full price.
VERY UNFORTUNATELY.
On the one hand, the park could have earned extra and on the other hand we could visit our selected attractions more frequently.
So we refrained, we were dissatisfied and the park missed extra money.
If you calculate that this happens to several visitors at this time of year, you should urgently follow up.

The attractions are of course great, but unfortunately almost all of the employees are very unfriendly. The hot dog stand opposite Loop is particularly bad. Everything is full of hornets and the employees are not only incredibly cheeky and rude, they also tend to forget orders and if you ask, all you get is "why didn't you say something earlier?" The employees have never heard of using formal address either. A "du" is probably inevitable. I was about to go to management and file a complaint. As a memo, we were there on August 10th, 2023 and ate at around 2 p.m. The employees (2 young men) are probably not particularly difficult to figure out.
Paying €8.70 for 2x 0.5L Cokes is bordering on a rip-off. The park used to be more family-friendly and not so mega commercial. It just feels like a rip-off everywhere... a real shame.
It was also very crowded on the day we visited. Not unexpected on a holiday, but queuing for almost 2 hours at the Collossos when the attraction is open for 8 hours is pretty tough.
All in all, an expensive and only partially satisfying visit.
We imagined it to be nicer. But we made the best of it :)
At these prices, however, it will probably be a rare visit in the future.

The Heide Park is a nice leisure in the Lüneburg Heath.
There is a large selection of rides for young and old.
There is also something for everyone in the gastronomic offer.
Unfortunately, many beautiful rides have been demolished without replacement in recent years.
Despite the still large number of attractions, which are beautifully themed and a lot of fun, there are some Cretan points.
On our visit the park closed at 7pm.
However, the waiting areas of the attractions already closed at 6pm.
So the last hour was unfortunately unusable.
Despite waiting times of about 60 minutes, only one train was in use on some roller coasters.
Although both trains were in use on the Big Loop roller coaster, the three employees present needed so much talking to each other that they could hardly find time for their work and the trains were more stationary than running.
If you have to take public transport towards Hanover, you have to leave the park before the park closes.
The transfer time in Soltau is only 3minutes, so we left the park even earlier and walked 2.5km to Wolterdingen station.
On the whole it is still a fair price/performance ratio and we had two nice days in the heath park.

We stayed in the holiday season on a Saturday and it was accordingly crowded. The ratio between waiting time and driving pleasure was correspondingly poor, especially as some journey times were barely two minutes. Balance sheet: 8 attractions, 7 hour stay, just a short meal break. Colossus was still at his best. Of course, you can also pay 100€ per nose extra, then you prefer to get to it right away. For four 400€, an expensive pleasure, but was out of the question.
Balance sheet: Bottom line still ok, attractions partly spectacular, repeat not planned.

Visited as a surprise for our 10 year old on our last day before flying home to Scotland and it did not disappoint. We had fun working out what the rides equivalent at Alton towers uk were and particularly loved the Colossus kampf Der giganten - like ATs wickerman but much higher. We also loved limit and went on 3 times in under 30 minutes.
We got on 6/7 of the big rides and managed several of them 3 or 4 times all in 6 hours which we were delighted about. We didn't bother trying scream.
The park is much smaller than Alton Towers making it easier to get to each ride and we were lucky the weather was great and not many people hence small or no queues. It was a sunday in the middle of October.
The biggest downside was there absolutely no one willing to talk English to us or help us on a couple of occasion's. Staff were quite standoffish and rude when they realised we were Scottish, which we are not used to, having many German friends and had been visiting some in the seevetal area. Think they need to review their customer service to people from afar.
.
Will definitely be back though

Heide Park Resort - the park is wonderful. During the holidays it is very busy and the queues can be up to an hour. There were only short queues for the attractions for very small children. I recommend buying the tickets online and looking for discount coupons. The attractions are really well automated and relatively quick. We managed several and were happy. Very early on there was almost nothing going on at the back of the park and therefore no queues. By midday it is already very busy. I don't recommend the pasta in the restaurant, it has awful tomato sauce. The first show was great, the second pirate show not so good. You can't do the park in one day. The parking costs €7.

Længste kø var på 20min og det var lige da de åbnede om formiddagen. Resten af dagen stod vi højest i kø 10min. Evt undersøg hvornår tyskerne i området har efterårsferie da det evt vil kunne påvirke.

Dear BackPacker773070,
this year's season ends after our Halloween-days at the 03th of november. Unfortunately we won't open our doors again until next spring. Which means that it's not possible to visit us in January.
Nevertheless we would be very pleased to welcome you in the season 2020.
Best regards,
The Heide Park Resort Team
