About
Between the historic salt works and the „Hotel an der Therme“ a temple for the of art of bathing has been built. Even the graceful roof imparts a unique feeling of generosity and ease. Whoever dives into the Bad Orber „Champagne-like” thermal waters will experience relaxation and stimulation, half-dreaming, half-dancing combined with a contemporary reflection on the rhythms of nature. Occasionally concerts take place in the water. Liquid Sound® transforms the bathing experience to a massage in light and music –culture can hardly be more healthy and sensual. There is much to discover in the new spa: a sauna, which can be reached via a „virtual fish pond”, the reading sauna “Lektarium” and other wellness highlights for a short break or a large gourmet holiday. In Bad Orb the future has arrived. And it has a motto: health and happiness.

An oasis of wellness and culture...
Aug 2019
Rarely, a brief sojourn for the body and senses is possible. The location of the stylish and serene ambiance of the hotel is ideal in this sense because it is less than 100 meters from the town's beautifully renovated Concert Hall.
My room was perfectly situated in the rear, and had a balcony furnished with two chairs and a table. From there the panoramic landscape unfolded flanked by the outdoor spa pools to the left, the promenade of the Kurpark paths and, a bandshell from which traditional brass orchestras enlivened the spirit with tunes probably heard since the 1900's. The room was furnished with colors and textures complementary to the outdoor environment. Beds very comfortable and the wifi uncomplicated. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast of a much higher level than four stars would suggest. Feel very free to book this experience for a "time out" before you jump back in to your normal routine. The added plus is the annual Operacademy in August. Young Artists receive an opportunity to perform in German traditional operas with a twist!

Very relaxing
Sep 2018
The Toskana Therme is the place to go if you like the spa experience and want to relax. The Spa has several pools inside and there is a pool also outside. You can enjoy the different features of the pools, like massage jets. There is also a pool where you can just swim if you like or you can enjoy the sauna world.

But there is one specialty at the Toskana Therme. This Spa has one feature, which I haven't seen at any other Spa so far. There is a pool inside the Toskana Therme, which is like a big closed room, separated from the other pools. This is a so-called "silent room". It has a very high ceiling, just like a cone. One can just lay down on the water (won't sink, thanks to the salinity of the water) and can listen to the music, which one can hear under the water too and enjoy the changing of the colors provided by the lights on the ceiling. It is very relaxing, it is almost possible to fall asleep on the water.

The Therme has also a parking garage from where it is very convenient to just walk up to the entrance.

It's ok but you can find better
Jan 2018 • Couples
Is small "therme", is clean maybe not so charming but very familiar place so so many childrens around, if you searching for peace don't go there, is good for experience once and then find am other bigger and better, you have 4 hours and full day little expensive for a small think , drinks and food little expensive but it will not kill you, still you can find better around.

A great way to spend the day
Jan 2018 • Friends
This is a great, comfortable, and clean "spa". With about 10 different saunas, lots of indoor and outdoor salt water pools and hot tubs, and lounge chairs all around, it is no wonder you can spend an entire day here. For those not accustomed to German spas like this, be sure you bring your own towels, flip flops, shampoo, and swim suit. Swim suits are not used in the saunas which are co-ed and nude, although you can walk around in the sauna area with a robe or towels. Not surprisingly this Therme has gotten lots of publicity in tourism articles, and only an hour from Frankfurt makes it a must trip.

A warm place to hang out on a cold and miserable day
Oct 2017 • Friends
Being a bit of a hot spring and thermal pool junkie I must say I did enjoy this place.

Lots of different pools (all slightly clorinated). The water, I believe, is brought up cold from underground and heated. There is no smell of sulphur, so it’s basically just thermal.

It’s a lot of fun! There is a wonderful room which plays music, the water is slightly salted. The room changes colour and nobody is allowed to talk - you just float in the warm water - it’s great and I haven’t found a place similar to that on my travels.

There is a ‘Sauna Welt’ - an area has two Finnish Saunas a couple of cooler saunas, damp rooms and outside plugs pools. It is a semi naked area (welcome to Northern Europe) but you can walk around with a towel and then you lay naked in the saunas. It’s the way it is done here - if you’re modest then stay out of the sauna area.
It’s expensive - €21 for four hours when I visited. You can go in for less but I think 4 hours is just about right because that includes your changing time too.

Don’t forget some plastic sandals and and take two towels, one to wrap round you and another for drying yourself up.

You’ll stay warm for hours after you leave. Best time to go is winter to enjoy the warmth.

Such a wonderful rehab
Nov 2017 • Friends
I visited the the spa on a Sunday and it was crowded but there were many gigantic indoor thermal pool with enough space for everyone and with good temperatures. The interior was marvelous and the music was so smooth and relaxing. The state of the art facilities includes saunas and steams partitioned by themes such as reading booths and kids' space. The showers are amazing (try the cold douche) and there is a restaurant at the top floor with great varieties of German and International cuisine. I guess I paid around $20 for a couple hours and I guess the rate increases when you stay in longer. Everything was perfect.

Biz trip in Germany
Mar 2017 • Business
I've spent just a hour there, because of the lack of time.
Connected with the nearby hotel, it was worth to take the chance to go and relax.
It was my first experience and it was very nice.
There are two areas, one with the swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) and one with the saunas and jacuzzi pools.
Really nice and not so full of people, so you can really enjoy and relaxm
To be repeated in future.

Good authentic German spa
Jun 2016
This is an updated East German spa which we enjoyed visiting. It has been well refurbished so is up to date & comfortable and has some interesting features. The liquid sauna is unusual & relaxing. It has a proper swimming pool for swimming lengths which we liked and hadn't found elsewhere. There are outdoor pools are fun and the the sauna area (nude) was excellent. We were the only tourists I think when we visited. Be sure to take towels however as, unlike other spas we visited, they don't have them to hire.
