❤️🥃 love your single malt
Sep 2020 • Couples
If you prefer craftsmanship over blended mass production and you know how to appreciate a single malt, this is the place to go. Visit the distillery and have a whiskey tasting before heading to the shop, you will not be disappointed. Make sure to try the 51 😃

So glad we stopped for the tour!

I was a Jack Daniels guy before the tour.
Now my favorite is SLYRS single malt.
We are getting some to bring back to the USA!

A small yet nice distillery
Nov 2019
We had a lunch in their cafeteria and tasted two whiskeys, Classic and Honey/Vanilla. Both the Whiskey's were good and the food was good at the cafeteria. The cafeteria was out of bread on the day we visited so our choices were limited. Whiskeys were not cheap - tasted as good as Scottish ones.
We bought whiskey jams, chocolates, from the shop also and these were really tasty.

a mini Scotland in Schliersee
Jun 2019 • Family
Definitely deserves a visit if you are in Schliersee. The whiskey made there
is comparable to the best malt whiskies made in Scotland. A short bus ride from Schliersee town helps you learn the scotch whiskey distillation process and also to taste and see how good the stuff is.

Sneak peek into the world of whiskey
Jun 2019 • Friends
It was indeed worth a visit here. Although, not that big a place, it shows you the entire process in manufacturing whisky 🥃.
There is a board that lists down the process from picking up the barley right down to the whisky being bottled.
An amazing experience!!

Took a day trip from Munich to the distillery. Beautiful drive. The town of Schliersee is a small, quaint place on a beautiful lake. We started with lunch at their cafe which was very good. The distillery has a guided and self-guided tours; we did the self-guided. Interesting to see their operation and learn about their distillery. They had tastings at the end and a nice gift shop. The whiskey is EXCELLENT!

Great epereince

The lady in the shop really loved to work here and one could see what this means- we could sample all we wanted (even the expensive twelve year old) and when we least she even followed us to give us vouchers fro free coffees in the coffee place - a clever move one could say as we spent more money there having lunch (great experience and worth to sit there for the view of the Wendelstein alone)- fact is however that we would have done this anyway so she actually saved us E 10.-
Taking time for my elderly father to have a look around and explaining the detail was a nice gesture and the whisky is famous - for y taste I do prefer some Scottish malts more and find them in general better alle for money but this should not stop one admiring what was achieved here - it is unique, special and the quality is good
Try the ham smoked over whisky barrels- better than the booze

Worth a visit even if ur not into whiskey!

You start with a short movie that is really well made and brings out the spirit of Bavaria. The tour itself is quite short and not guided but self explanatory. Was interesting to know the whiskey making process and would have been nicer if someone was around to tell us what was happening in all those large containers. Anyways, it ends well with a tasting session and a beautiful view. You can pick up souvenirs and slyrs bottles from the gift shop once you finish. It has a bus stop right outside and is quite accessible from the train station. You would need to know the timings though as buses are every hour I think. We spent a max of 1.5 hours in the place.
