Stayed overnight in Freising so absolutely had to make a stop at this Biergarten. The restaurant is attached to the University at the top of the hill and is roughly a 20 minute walk from the Main Square downtown. The staff was friendly and most...More

Can't complete a trip around Germany without going to the oldest brewery in the world. We took a train from Munich central for about 23 Euros (group day pass) which was about only 40 min to Freising. From there it was a 30 minutes walk...More

We tried to walk from the town centre based on the city map (from the Tourist Office) and it's not easy, especially from Vottinger Str. onwards. Thankfully there was a university so we could ask a few students for directions. The beer is good but...More

The Weihenstephan Brewery offers tours and has a beer garden, restaurant, and pub. All of these are nice experiences for trying out some excellent beers. I made this part of a nice loop hike around the town of Freising. The hike was about 6 or...More

I did not take the brewery tour, but I did eat/drink in their restaurant. The service was good. Beers were delicious and had about 6 to choose from which is normal for a German brewery. Food was great too. I recommend the meat three ways...More

Sorry, I have no idea. The tour was not available the day I went, so I came back to Munich in the late morning.

I've just their website and it looks like 10am to midnight daily. For hot food, it's 11:30am to 22:00.
