Glucksburg is a nice little village just a few miles east of Flensburg. Glucksburg Castle makes the place both intresting, its a beautiful castle and as an historic hot spot!

Looks like a fairytale castle as you approach. We had an interesting and informative tour guided by a woman in historical costume. Some amusement at having to put large slippers over our shoes to protect the wooden floors, and to keep them polished!

Visiting Glucksburg for a 3 days stay, you really want to see this nice Castle. The sourrounding Park is worth a visit too. There is a Restaurant at the Castle, but we didn't try it out, maybe next time.

This is one of the most famous castles on water in Germany with a picturesque park around, which we have enjoyed even on a chilly autumn day! Perfect for a day trip or a short weekend visit if you are nearby.
