Good historical place. One can visit while visiting the historical beautiful city of Burghausen. Castle in the background looks very well from this angle.

Parish church
Aug 2011
The largest church in Burghausen. 79 m High tower with double Baroque onion-shaped roof. 1140 Built in Romanesque style and consecrated as a three-aisled Basilica. Two fires in 1353 and 1504 forced a new building and partial reconstruction. After a collapse 19th century simple furnashings were purchased. The most valuable of past centuries are the old ornate tombstones on the inner and outer wall of the Church, at the altar stands St Jacob Central. Pastor Willeitner had in the church a way of the cross with 6 stations built, of which the ancient meaning as pilgrimage church tat the Jacob's way confirms. The original presbytery from 1578 was destroyed by fire. On the location of a building from 1651was a new presbytery built in 1731, after fire in 1898 it was reconstructed, since 1802 a deanery Office, 20th century renovation.
