Now we can really appreciate maple syrup!

We found this easily after asking for directions at Les fromages de l'Ile d'Orleans - it's just 100m north from there along Chemin Royale and right next to the trout farm as... read more

We found this easily after asking for directions at Les fromages de l'Ile d'Orleans - it's just 100m north from there along Chemin Royale and right next to the trout farm as others have said. The trout farm owner also runs the maple syrup farm and gave us the tour in perfect English (thank you!) - she was wonderful and... More

It is near the trout pond. We parked with all of the fishing people and just asked the staff servicing the trout pond. We met with Mr Boily and learned of him growing up on the island and how his father and grandfather retrieved the syrup in just a slightly different way. Very interesting and he could explain in English... More

I am sure this place would have been great but we could not find it. A local told us that it was near the Trout pond..but we still could not find it. Disappointing that the owner does not put up better signage.

situated on the north end of the island the best way to know where this place is, it is a sugar shack tucked off the road about 30 metres (100 Feet) off the road near right beside the trout pond. As others have said the small lesson on maple sugar is just as rewarding as the maple syrup, maple butter,... More

Although it was challenging to locate this place, our family was so glad that we did--it really was one of the highlights of our Quebec trip. The owner takes the time to explain maple syrup production, a tradition that has been handed down in her family for 10 generations, in a way that truly makes you value the syrup that... More

The owners of this farm gave a very interesting tour of how maple syrup is produced. Very informative. We had a lot of fun. They make a lot of different maple products, which we sampled a few of. We bought some products and syrup, which is so much cheaper than in stores.

The sign had some branches in front of it making it a little hard to find it so worth the stop. The owner walked us through the maple syrup process and we learned a lot. She let us taste the yummy syrup. It was great to buy it from her since it was made there. Her prices were better than... More

We stopped in to purchase some maple priducts and were surprised to be in an authentic Quebec maple producing farm. We were treated to a tour and complete explanation of the production process in this family run operation nestled in the maple forest. And yes, we did purchase a nice variety of maple products and very good prices. A huge... More

Although the process to prepare maple syrup seems simple, they explained it with patience, details and open to any questions. It is clear that they know by own experience the whole process and are willing to take any visitor through it. Worth the visit by far and besides it, you can buy different maple products (syrup, sugar, bar, butter) very... More

The lady owner / guide here gave us an amazing tour of the premises and explanation of the process - so very interesting and informative. The entrance to the farm is hard to find but well worth a hour of your time - will definitely appreciate the work that goes into the next bottle of syrup I buy! Ile d'Orleans... More
