This is probably one of the prettiest cities in Germany, especially the Old Town. It's great for walking, dining and photography. Definitely looking forward to going back.

The history of Konstanz is over a 1,000 years old. The ages of some of the buildings are indicated on the side of the building and it is truly amazing when a building is listed as being from the 14th Century! It is great to...More

The architecture in Old Town is amazing! We enjoyed walking around town looking at the buildings and visiting the shops. It was definitely more crowded than I thought it would be. It was difficult to find parking, even in the parking garages.

Lovely part of konstanz to have walks and get lost. I recommend there to go early in the morning or late at night, as it has a specific flair when it's not that crowded.

Unfortunately most of the genuine medieval buildings have been replaced having falled into disrepair but quite a number from 1500 and even earlier remain. The town is divided into sections of which this is the northern part from the Rhine to the middle of town...More

The oldest part of Konstanz is not cutesy the way some other German old towns are but, as you stroll through, you appreciate the fact that so many buildings date to the middle ages. I would strongly suggest coming at a time when there are...More
