Impressive citadel on Danube river's eastern bank designed in the star-shaped (Vauban) style. It would have been nice to be able to tour the underground tunnels but we did not have the time.

If the the weather is good, then this is definitely worth a visit! The view over Novi Sad and the surroundings is amazing. There is also restaurant, a museum and a club (and some street vendors) but we didn't visit those.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Is there public transportation to enter the fortress? If there is an entry fee, how much is it and if so can credit cards be used? Thanks

There are no entry fees. You could drive in by car and use public parking without paying (I were there on April 2015, parking was free) or you could go by bus or by foot cross the bridge and upstairs to the clock tower :)
