We have seen lots of caves in Australia. This is one of the better tours. The cave had water running through it, the usual displays but also glow worms! It had steep stairs and ladders, narrow passages, low ceilings in some parts, just how a cave should be. Loved it. Tour guide was very amusing and didn't talk too technical... More

We visited the Cave as a group of four, and because there was no-one else waiting we had a "small group, personalised tour". A FANTASTIC cave!! Our guide absolutely loved his job and his personality just made the tour. The lighting is excellent, and not overdone. There are formations in this cave that equal or exceed the beauty of any... Took the kids (ages 6, 9 and 11) for an afternoon in the caves. We had a great time! Trish our guide was awesome, she was full of information and jokes. It was cold and wet in the caves recommend covered shoes and a jacket. Great adventure

We experienced rain that day so likely did not get as much out of the experience. But Bonorang in Hobart seems superior. That said, it was interesting to see the different animals.

My first time cave tour! Took my hubby, 6 year old and 2 (almost 3) year old. Awesome experience! Probably my favourite Tassy adventure. Jeff was exceptional at including and engaging my 6 year old. Thanks for the memories !!!

My partner and I went out for the day and really enjoyed the caves! So nice on a really hot summers day to go into the cold caves! The workers were so friends and helpful with other activities we could do close by! I will go back for sure!!

Absolutely great caves. Price was very reasonable and the tour guides were absolutely brilliant. Very humorous guides and friendly, also very caring of the people who struggled with the steps. Amazing caves with lovely bacon inside it! Could not recommend it enough to anyone who is in Tasmania. Just awesome

Drove from Ulverstone to Gunns Plains Caves. Unfortunately arrived between tours and more than an hour until the next. The wonderful guide took the 5 of us(3 of my adult children and my daughter's friend) on a private tour. Very entertaining tour and the caves seem as unspoilt as last I visited 30+ years ago. I then recommend continuing onto... More

I have seen glow worms before in NZ but my family have not seen them until our trip to Gunns plains caves. Definitely worth a visit. The formations are incredible and Trish was both a warm host and an informative guide. A very easy day trip from Burnie or Devonport area.
