My parents have a mobile home in St Valery and my dad and I like the historical stuff. We came here to see the war museum and we're really impressed. The intro video in the cinema was great for a recap and there were some...More

Visited whilst we were in region on a WW1 battlefield tour. Interestingly laid out and many unusual artefacts.Plenty information to read. Section on WW1 art really interesting - propaganda issues thought provoking. To be fair it is probably more a "grown-ups" museum and I can...More

This was a fantastic museum but it left me a little puzzled! I couldn’t fault the exhibits, the way it was laid out or the trilingual explanations. The film using period footage was fascinating and I found I didn’t need the French commentary and the...More

This is a nice small museum that gives a good background to WWI - and includes a lot of interesting artifacts, such as posters, film clips and uniforms and soldiers' kits. We visited the day before we went to the museum at the Thiepval Memorial...More

We visited, having been previously 15 years ago. The exhibits are well presented but something a little more interactive and engaging would really help hold the interests of the teenagers and children we brought. The bookshop used to have a good stock of English speaking...More

I would plan on an afternoon or a morning...tough for me to answer because I am into military history and enjoy the varied exhibits ranging from vehicles to period music, uniforms, etc. If you find it that you don't need... More
