Nice selection of places to eat but a really lovely little spot and its what you expect a French canal district to be.

The Saturday market is fairly good for fresh, bio produce. The bars and restaurants along the river is very pretty. I would recommend going here if you are staying in Amiens.

St Leu appears to have been preserved as its near the Cathedral and thus avoided shelling. Its billed in that indomintable French way as an experimental up and coming chi chi Latin Quarter. We at first mistook St Leu Church for The Cathedral. Theres some-well...More

Pretty old dockside houses with restaurants. A short but pleasant walk. Have a cider anywhere. It’s delicious.

We were recommended this area of Amiens for its cafes & bars. It is delightful on a sunny day. It is near Amiens Cathedral (gorgeous) & on the other side of it is a lake where you can hire boats to row around the lake.

Glad we made the effort to come down to that area of Amiens. We didn't see it during the day, but it was very busy and pretty at night time with the illuminations along the quays. Then we went to see the light show in...More

Visited the area having seen a description in tourist information detailing restaurants, boutiques and craft workshops situated in ‘the Venice of the north’. What we found were endless pubs and bars (which were all closed at 6pm!) and a rather run down, scruffy looking area....More

This is an interesting area in Amiens, although for visitors is mainly the bars and restaurants along one strip. Don’t forget to look up at the cathedral on the other side of the water as it looks like a backlot so pretty.

Lots of selections to chose from in the St Leu area. It is right on the water and very popular and busy place. I would highly recommend eating and spending time in this area. Right behind it is the 'old town' of Amien which makes...More

This area of Amiens is down by the River Somme and is the prettiest area in town. Lots of lovely old traditional houses and narrow cobbled streets. At night the area is lively with restaurants and bars. Well worth a visit.
