Came across this cemetery whilst passing by and were glad we stopped to visit. It is a small cemetery compared to some of the many others in the area but just like the others so beautifully kept. The late Queen Mothers’ brother Fergus Bowes-Lyon is...More

on our road trip to vimy, we made several stops along the countryside to see memorials, cemeteries and craters like this one where so many Canadians served and lost their lives.

Quite a small crater with a small memorial to those buried there, but immaculately kept. If you want to see a really big crater, visit Lochnagar

If you are doing the "Tour" you should include the largest mine in the area. The sheer energy it took to tunnel hundreds of yards under no-man's land... remaining unheard or detected, place the explosives and retire..... leaves the visitor in awe. The pathway around...More

We stopped of here with a group and everyone was overwhelmed by the attention to detail, crater was mown with stripes. A cross, of course, meaning more than 40 burials.
