This is another example of how much the French people respect the sacrifice made by people from all over the world. Again the grounds are immaculate. As a former member of the Royal Air Force this site was a must visit for me. A chance...More

Faubourg D'Amiens Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France - This is a WW1 Cemetary near Arras which was right in the heat of battle on the Artois battlefields.. Arras fell to German occupation then was won back. Homage paid to the fallen and many interesting headstones.

We went here to find a relative and when we did it was extremely moving to finally see the family name. It is maintained beautifully. Definitely well worth the visit.

An architecturally beautiful and emotionally moving place to visit. Sited about a 25 minute walk from the centre of Arras but there is a free bus whose circuit includes a stop at the Citadel which is next door to the cemetery.

There is no gates or fee to enter, open to all. Car park across the road may have a barrier and only open at certain times.
