Wanted to see this marvel of engineering and (British) design and it IS wonderful. However it's fine if you are travelling down the autoroute - either way you stop at the viewpoint and pay a single toll in passing. If, like us, you were travelling...More

This bridge is like a symphony in concrete and steel cables. Both to look at - arching its way across the gorge of the Tarn - and to drive over, this is one bucket list attraction.

We have passed over or under this bridge many a time and have always marvelled at it's seeming simplicity and beauty. The visitor centre under the structure is always worth looking into. Well worth a stop to get a better view than that of just...More

Travelling through France toward Brittany it’s definitely a must to go over the Millau viaduct. Time constraints meant us missing the visitor centre, though we have been before. Never the less the €5.90 to go across the viaduct was well worth it.

I visited Millau Viaduct, Pont du Gard and Avignon in one day. All of these structures have something to offer. Millau has a viewpoint on the Northern side that is accessible from the motorway. There is a busy cafe and shops at the stop. There...More

From a brief 'Google', it appears that tours may operate from Toulouse but there is no mention of any from Millau itself. We were in a car so didn't have that problem.

The closest main airports to Millau are at Rodez, Toulouse and Montpellier. I have flown from Standsted to Toulouse on several occassions and hired a car to get to Millau. From Rodez their is public transport.
