A nice street in a nice town.

This is a lovely place to visit. Many bars/restaurants to choose from. To sit in the tree lined avenue having a quiet drink or meal is a pleasure. Flower markets, car shows, antique markets, all these things I've had the pleasure to do and see here. Highly recommended.

Nice for a stroll and maybe a stop at one of the cafes along the way for a drink. Some activities for kids, some nice buildings along the sides.

Heart of town

This tree lined boulevard is the heart of Béziers. We dined there daily in the outdoors and were delighted to spend time exploring street markets and the nearby light ,musical and fountain display. Unexpected pleasures.

The heart of Beziers
Jun 2019 • Family
We stayed in a flat just off of the square. Each day there were different activities -- flower markets, flea markets, etc. In the evenings families strolled the square and children played. On Friday and Saturday evenings, there is a light show at the water fountain. Shopping, restaurants, and parking are all convenient in this area. I always felt safe, even when walking on my own.

Slightly underwhelming

A pleasant stretch of wide road. Very little to see except on the days when there is a flower market, which is wonderful.

Lovely central walkway

This central street hosts a number of different markets - depending on the day. We saw the 'flea market' - old books and car boot type 'antiques'. Typical French tree lined street leading to a nice park.

Lucked into the flower market day
Apr 2019 • Couples
We took a stroll down Les Albee’s Paul-Riquet on a beautiful Spring morning when they were setting up for the flower market. So many beautiful flowers to be had right before Easter. I would have loved to buy some but what do you do with flowers when you are on vacation!? At one end of Les Allees is the Victorian theater and all along are places to get coffee or a snack.

Active boulevard
Sep 2018 • Friends
Ok, so it's just a long strip of Tarmac. But from the railway station it's a lovely short walk (steep) through beautiful gardens to reach it. On it are street bars (many only open for lunch). Off it are many other restaurants. At the top is the theatre and at the top to the left is where you get to the cathedral.

Waste of time
Sep 2018 • Couples
It seemed to have good reviews and was signposted everywhere in Beziers but it is just a wide street with cars running alongside it. - don't bother

Mid town promenade
Aug 2018
In the middle of Beziers, a small town in the south of France, you can have a nice break in between touring the old historic part of town and a trip over to the Canal de Midi that crosses Beziers outskirts. A wide avenue in the center is laced with stores, restaurants of different price range and menues, the city theatre on one end and a nice ferris wheel on the other. Lots of shade and lots of restaurant tables on the outside. Loved the service too. Oh, and not to forget the local home-made ice cream. mmm...
