I can only recommend for a refresher on the toll both WW took on so many nations and people, to better understand the why and how. Supported by a lot of visuals (photos, movies, maps, stats).

While in France to visit Bellicourt we were unable to get close to this historic site as building work was in hand. This is still a most important location.

This a little off-side located site is an absolute ‘must see’ for any WW-buffs. Museum is small but well maintained. Both the WW1 and WW2 history is shown. There a much better equiped WW-museums, but than this is the actual historical location.

We were here on Armistice day, what an emotional experience! This is a must visit place, and is kept in immaculate condition, you need to give yourself plenty of time to see everything

The Glen is a true memorial to both the resiliency of the French and to the thought process of Hitler.

Excellent informative museum that has been extended and improved over the years. My kids - 7 & 11 were interested throughout. Cheap admission - three and five euros. Thoroughly recommended.

We went on an organised trip to see the carriage where the armistice was signed. The Museam is very unique and a must for world war 1 history buffs. It is being tarted up for the 100th anniversary and I imagine on 11 November it...More

Although a replica of the original the carriage looked very authentic, it was well presented with lots of information on who sat where and their roles in the armistice. The rest of the museum was well set out with lots of displays and information.

We visited the museum late Sept. Museum and grounds are currently going through renovation work (we presumed as part of the Armistice Commemorations next month). The history of the train, before, during the Armistice and WW2 is fascinating. Museum apart from train is also excellent...More

Suspect that a cab will be only viable solution, cycling could work but it’s probably about 6-7 miles from the station. Hope this helps.
