This was the last day in Dordogne and last chateau to visit. The weather was absolutely perfect for the end of September and not many tourists. We pretty much had the hole chateau to ourselves. Amazing interiors greatly preserved and displayed.

This is a lovely visit. The family still occupies a portion of the chateau, and your visit helps keep the place going, so that's a good thing. There's lots to see, including rooms with furniture and hangings. I think it's a neat place to see for an hour or two on your way to or from Sarlat.

Lovely and pretty small Chateau very close to Sarlat. Most rooms are furnished with period furniture and the guide book gave good information about the history and contents of the rooms. However, its a shame more of the chateau was not open to the public as according to the guidebook, the family live in the wing above the entrance gate.... More

I am not sure what we expected to see in a Château 500 years in the hands of the same family, but it was definitively more lived history, more tradition and furniture taken care of over centuries, telling stories. But we have seen only a few rooms - getting up a round staircase - with furniture often not just old,... More

Nice Castle to visit. Impressive building. However, the rooms were rather 'typical', not that special from other castles we visited. There are many castles in this area, some focusing on Middle Ages, some on more recent centuries. (We did not take a guided tour). This one impressed us especially by its typical architectural 'castle' skyline.

We went for the Tuesday night "visite nocturne" which is animated by two local theatre actors called the "ROUGE Ideal". Throughout the tour in each different room the actors played a scene from "Les Fables de Jean de La Fontaine". It was all in French and disconnected from the castle tour itself but it works very well and made for... More

Fairly good chateau although would be good if there were tours in English as there seems to be a lot of interesting history we missed out on. Would recommend an hour only here as not a great deal to do.

Beautiful Castle- well maintained, furnished, original paintings of Greek Mythology- very well kept. They also have a few rooms for B&B.. wish we would have know- could have planned on night there!

This is a very nice private Castro. The few accessible rooms were very nice. Around 12 spaces are available including under the special roof made of stones.

A wonderful family home. Beautiful views from the top. The legend of the white lady made it all very magical. The place oozes history and the castle is beautifully decorated. Well worth a visit
