We were slightly disappointed with the sights in Mulhouse, but this building was really amazing. The museum inside is free, the paintings on the outside are amazing. Located on reunion square, very centrally.

Beautiful preserved in a chocolate box setting the frescoes make this building unique with an impressive staircase. Definitely worth visiting on your tour.

It was at the end of the walking tour with a very thoughtful and competent guide. It is a very well preserved building with an ornated facade and unique staircase. The main hall gives you the feeling of the epoch. Reminded me of Padova, Italy.

Amazingly decorated town hall, have never seen anything quite like it before. Situated in the square by the church with other old buildings around. A plaque on the side commemorates the 200th anniversary of Mulhouse re-joining France.

I saw this red building from outside only, but it is very typical and with its detailed facade gets a great character to the central square of the old town.

A walk around the Hotel de Ville will reward you with a better sense of Mulhouse city history. The paintings are of the Renaissance period and are well preserved/renovated. Check out the Swiss political influences as reflected in the paintings. I could not enter as...More
