Not what was promised. Lot of waiting around. More of a bus trip than a boat cruise. I would have rated this average if it had not been for the response we got when we made a complaint. This summer my family and I did Marine Exploration Scuba Jack for an amount of € 69 / pers. In there brochures they did say they had two other types of shorter and cheaper boat trips with snorkeling but when we asked about them we were told they were no longer offered. The tour promised Porto Vecchio, Piana, Bonifacio, Lavezzi, Cavallo Cerbicales and back Porto Vecchio. We were suppose to leave from Porto Vecchio around 9.30 am. On grounds of rough seas we were transported by bus from our campsite and driven to Bonifacio where we spent over an hour climbing the stairs to the wall and back down to have coffee. We finally boarded the boat at 11:00 Our route went from Bonifacio, Lavezzi Island and then back to Piantarella where we were taken in bus to our camping grounds. While the trip was a full day we were not picked up until one hour later at Piantarella (due to an unexpected traffic accident). In other words, we had an excursion that was closer to one of the other routes supposedly not offered at € 35. for which we were charged € 69 . and with a start at 11 am rather than 9 am or 9:30 as shown in advertisements. There was a snack of a meal and again a snack later in the day. Overall, we spent a total of over 4 and a half hours on the Ile Lavezzi which despite being pretty is not worth a stop of more than 3 to 3 and a half hours. The main objective was to snorkel and do the scuba jack (snorkeling with an air hose). This was wonderful and the sights we did see were quite lovely. We expressed our disappointment to the sales clerk the following morning but were given the brush off. When we wrote to them telling them about our experience we received the following: "le service proposé par notre secrétaire mme Sonia..... du guichet de Porto Vecchio, vous a été préciser car nous avons eut une avarie au moteur le jour avant votre départ, notre secertaire vous as bien expliqué du changement de programme de l'excursion. quand vous avez accheter l.excursion il etait prevus une promenade a Bonifacio donc c'est pour cela que vous avez ete accompagne jusqu'au escalier de la Montée Rastello. !! Si vous vous permettez un quelconque commentaire notre bureau d'avocats se chargeras de vous contacter et de se faire valoir de nos droits. Les explications que vous émettez ne sont pas plausibles mais bien au contraire mensongères , aucun blâme nous a ete remontrer durant la saison. Cela est minable de nous accusé derriere un net!!! Bonne soirée. La direction de Corsica Discovery. " Subsequently, I was unable to locate anything on Trip Advisor despite them showing the Trip Advisor logo on their flyers (but not the web site). I was fooled into thinking that if they showed the Trip Advisor logo that they were pleased with their reviews. I would have given up and not bothered if they had not sent the above reply. I am sure most tourists are quite happy with the trip and certainly it was a lovely day's outing. Our advice - you might find this the perfect trip but don't be surprised if it isn't what you were told you were getting.
