One of the amazing experiences that we had organized for us during our stay at Lake Plastira. The scenery at the Lake Plastiras is majestic, with the whole mountain scene, the green valley and the impressive lake making it a serene setting for outdoor adventures. There are two types of horseback riding options available at the Saloon Stables, either a... More

Just 1 hour from the city of Karditsa you can go to the lake with your car where you will see a unique natural park with a large pond. The colors and the combination of the tree is unique.

One of my favorite mountain destination at any time of the year. Surrounded by 18 villages, is certain that beauty in combination with the great accommodation in lodgings will make your days very interesting and beautiful also. At Kalivia Pezoulas you can do horse riding, archery 🎯 and canoe-kayak. Many good dining options in the areas tavernas. I recommend Plastira... More

The lake is really beautiful, sometimes while driving around you are not sure whether is is Alps or Greece. We were surprised to discover that it is artificial. The dam area is nice, worth the drive. There are huge fishes which we tried to catch but with no success...

After many years travelling around Greek countryside we finally managed to schedule a 3 day trip on the famous Plastira Lake. Plastira Lake is the most beautiful man build lake in Greece and has a great history. It is a must visit for nature and countryside lovers and also for those who love hiking, lake activities and outdoor sports. Food... More

Visit the numerous villages around the lake. The dam is also amazing. You can ride horses, or ever rent a boat and go fishing! Stop by a tavern and enjoy local specialties.

I visited Plastira on the basis that I had seen some great photos and it was close to Meteora. The lake itself is actually a reservoir so the lakeside is a bit too much like a flooded field in most areas. The dam end is great and good for hiking though. I suspect that it would be fantastic in the... More
