Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Col d'Aspin is one of the most known mountains in Tour de France and it is located in French Pyrenees, near the very beautiful town called Arreau. I go just from Arreau to col d'Aspin, pitifully there was foggy! totally foggy! and I can not see the very beautiful views. I hope return here and enjoy with them!

A very picturesque area that you can access with the car and just stop to admire this magnificent place or for the more adventurous there is lots of walking to be had. Usually snowed up at this time of year but not this year at this time.

This was such a pretty pass, but much narrower and tighter than I expected. The view at the top is phenomenal. It was so quiet and peaceful up there. I don't know how those brave cyclists do it. What a climb!

Part of the Tour de France route. How do they do that plus other cols on the same day? A beautiful place to stop at the top and admire the all-around view. It is certainly a beautiful place and well worth the detour off the main road.

We visited in April on a beautiful sunny day. The views are fantastic - you are surrounded by snowy mountains. Ours kids enjoyed playing in the pockets of snow in the forest. We also climbed to the top of a nearby mountain (using a route from a walking website). The snow had only just melted enough for us to manage it without poles of snow shoes. We were fortunate to have warm sunshine and it wasn't too exposed. There are lots of paths from there and although the walk involved scrabbling over some rocks at some points, it generally wasn't too arduous and my 3yo managed it well.

We rode up and across the Col d'aspen, all 1489 metres high! The hairpin bends both up and down are VERY tight and there is no run off and the drop offs are awesome. The view from the top was breathtaking. You can just smell the fresh air - all so good. Famous tour de france comes here so it must be good. Well worth a visit.
