Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is currently a recreation ground, also used for open air pop concerts in the summer. It forms the centrepiece of the annual medieval pageant, with mock jousting and a variety of horsey activities. It is a valued local resource and very well used.
It did not always have the entertainment function which the locals enjoy so much. Note the high stone wall around the site. This was the boundary of a prisoner of war camp during WW1 for Austrian soldiers. In WW2 it held mainly American POWs until September 1943, when the Italian Government deposed Mussolini, held him under arrest on Gran Sasso and surrendered to the allied powers. The guards opened the gates and the POWs walked away.
The German army occupied the region and spent some time rounding up the POWs. It was then used as a detention centre for the local Jewish population before they were transported to concentration camps further north. After Liberation, it was used as a refugee centre before transformation to its current use. The name of the park indicated the intention of the community to put the dark days behind them, while never forgetting.

I went here in occasion of Deep Purple's concert.
I arrived during the afternoon, the park is "huge", a lot of green and peace.
Very relaxing place (and amazing concert!).
Worth it if you want a little resting!
