There are many special places of interest to visit in Volterra but this is one of them as well as many other churches and the unmissable Teatro Roma. Volterra is unspoilt and well worth a visit.

A small unassuming church at the end of a plaza, this little beauty dates to the 13th century and contains an altarpiece decorated by Giovanni della Robbia in the 16th. Just a perfect gem barely visited by tourists.

We saw this church while walking the town on the evening we were there. Very interesting exterior architecture - didn't see the interior.
