Nice view from the water

At the south coast are different rocks and sea caves but it's best to do the caves with a local skipper because it can be treacherous due to the currents. It's a very half day boat tour and actually a must when you stay in the Gargano region

Most beautiful beach near Vieste for those who prefer nature over organised field of umbrellas
Jul 2019
Very clean, not crowded beach, great for snorkelling. Little stones, tranquil watter. There is a small simple buffet where you can get fresh fish on BBQ, sautéed mussels, bruschetta or sandwiches and local wine. No umbrellas but there is a shadow from rocks, no toilettes.

Even on the off-season, the beach was crowded. Worth the visit. Interesting drive getting to this spot.

Not an easy beach to get to but worth the descent. We didn’t see garbage as others talked about. The parking attendant had been working to clear the path on the way down.

My favourite Puglian beach

Vieste is a "long haul" from Bari, but worth the beautiful bus rides. Amazing views of forest one side, "hidden bays" the other! Particularly Matinnata!

The best beach at the coast from the ones we saw
Aug 2015 • Couples
This is really a great place! The beach is extremely small which makes the overall impression of being hidden by cliffs simply fantastic! Water is transparent, parking is "upstairs" (the path down by foot takes 5-7 min) for 5 euros per day (we even left the this beach in the early afternoon and came back in three hours without problems), and the only discomfort is brought by tourists descending from the excursion motorboats but this place is still worth seeing!

It's fantastic beach. You can reach the beach by walk (12 minutes from the. Parking) or by boat. Deep and pleasant water. I recomend this beach.

Great beach
Jul 2015 • Family
Great beach. This year there is a gard at the parking. So don't worry about smashed car Windows. Be aware that from about 10 till 11 the 2 big boats drop tourists at the beach. But when they are left, the beach is like paradise. Fun to jump from the rocks at the right. Also the panninies are lovely and cheap. Cold bear and wine of you like.

Great beach, but don't park here
Jun 2014 • Family
This little bay is amazing, and well worth a visit. Two warnings, though:
1) Be VERY careful if you park here. Thieves smash car windows all the time. Two were hit the day we were there (one of them our car), and the parking area is covered in glass from years of similar activity, or so it would seem. If you do park, I recommend leaving nothing in the car, doors unlocked, and the windows rolled halfway down. I've done that before in similar situations, but forgot to do it in this case.

2) There is a sign warning you to stay 30 meters away from the base of the cliffs on the beach, but the sign has fallen over and you might not see it. Those limestone cliffs are crumbly, and even a small rock from high up could be deadly.

Enjoy!
