Todi is a Beautiful Umbrian Town Worth Visiting
Aug 2020
We live in Umbria and had only passed through Todi after a day spent in Orvieto. We promised ourselves that we would return to Todi and spend a day exploring its churches and other monuments. Today, we finally did it, and it was worth it. The historic center of Todi is not very big and, surprisingly, not terribly hilly or steep, so you can walk there quite easily. If you're in Umbria and have a chance, definitely spend a half-day or day in Todi!!!

Lovely hill town worth a stop
Oct 2019
We visited on a very quiet Sunday, but the town was lovely and the people were so welcoming and friendly. The views of the surrounding countryside were equally beautiful.

Typical village atmosphere
Jan 2020
Typical small Italian 'borgo' ambient. Relaxing and pleasant medieval atmosphere ideal to have a coffee and then wind around the small village.

A Pretty Town with Splendid Views and Very Steep Streets
Sep 2019
What no one tells you about Todi, apart from the fact that it is a charming town with splendid views, is the ESSENTIAL fact that it has very steep and long streets. It is really hard to get to the main square from the parking just outside the walls of the town. So, unless you are in great shape and wearing comfortable shoes (sneakers is the best choice) you will find it very hard to enjoy it. Also, its main church is outside the town walls. You can park near one of the gates leading into the city. And it is free. The rest you can find in other reviews.

Interesting
Sep 2019 • Couples
Interesting town found at the top of another long winding road to the hilltop. New town surrounding the old town walls. We didn’t go to the Ferrari meeting that was being held in a couple of days but imagine this would have been a site to see

Lovely Small Medieval Town
May 2019 • Friends
What a gem only approx. 25 kms from Perugia. Unless you want an uphill hike ti the main square (Piazza Del Popolo) do not park outside the gates but drive to the top where there is short-term pay parking. The main square is tge heart of Todi with the Cathedral, Museum and Town Hall surrounded by little cafes, shops and a few restaurants where you can taste typical Umbrian dishes.
We visited, on our way from Tuscany, Perugia-Assisi-Todi all in the same day staying the night in an agriturismo (Castello Belforte) just outside the town.

Stunning
Apr 2019
We spent our April in Tuscany visiting less travelled areas and were most please. Todi, Montone, Citta di Castella all were visually magnificent, no crowds, friendly to visitors. Highly recommended way to see the medieval hill towns of Umbria.

A beautiful town
Sep 2018 • Couples
We visited Todi twice during our visit and really enjoyed this relaxed medieval town.

Parking is best at car park 2 and then take the funicular up to the town centre.

The town is charming and full of character. Both our visits were on a Sunday and there weren't the hoards of bus trips you can find in more popular cities in the area.

The tourist information an €8.50 ticket which includes a guided tour to the towns Roman cisterns, entry to two museums and access to the bell tour of a local church which gives wonderful views of the valley below.

Beautiful place but not a very lifely city
Aug 2018 • Family
Todi is a small beautiful Middle Aged city. I would recommend to visit Todi when you’re in the neighborhood. It’s not place I would go when you’re renting a house, there are not that many restaurants and there is no lifely night life. It’s quite boring to walk around at night. Orvieto is much nicer!

Tough drive, but beautiful city
Jun 2018 • Friends
Walking around the ancient walled city of Todi is like walking into the pages of a history book. We had a half day here, and our tour driver had to let us out just barely inside the town, because it is difficult for large vehicles. Scooters and Smart Cars abound, though.. It's authentic medieval feel makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The duomo is just gorgeous (I have never seen such beautiful and majestic churches as what we saw in Italy...). Worth the steps up and down and up and down. Cozy shops and quaint cafes and city square straight out of a fairy tale make this a do-not-miss stop in Umbria. Wish we had more of a "plan" to visit there, as we hop-scotched here-and-there without really knowing where we were going. However, we loved it and will return on our next trip to Italy.
