Beautiful village
Aug 2020 • Couples
We parked at Parcheggio Consolazione which is free and under the trees. We took the Line E bus which leaves from the corner of the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Consolazione and takes you to the top of the village. Beautiful village with a lot of beautiful alleyways

Like your living room
Aug 2019
A big comfortable square in the heart of city that everyone congregates around, like the living room of the city. Get a cup of coffee or gelato and lounge a bit.

Town Heart

The central part of Todi with lovely views overlooking the Umbrian hills and countryside. It is a small town so can be visited in 2-3 hours. Recommend wearing comfortable clothing and walking shoes/trainers.

Uncrowded lovely town square
Jul 2019 • Couples
Walking back from a restaurant one evening we walked into the town square where there were mostly locals gathering. A band was playing, people mostly just chatting, even getting quite late there were little kids and grandparents alike. We really enjoyed just soaking up the atmosphere.

Charming Village and Grand Piazza
May 2019 • Friends
What a lovely village, Todi! This piazza has some really nice restaurants nearby, little shops, little groceries and the best little bakery on the corner across from the church with the most awesome drinks, service, and appetizers! The church is quite grand and we also had the opportunity to attend Mass, of which had a most spectacular celebration going on. Not sure what it was, but it was grand!

Historic piazza messed up with huge modern sculpture
Apr 2019 • Couples
Todi was a lovely medieval hilltown with lots of vicolos (alleys) and archi (archways), but I was so disappointed to see senseless huge sculptures standing in the central piazza in memory of an artist who died recently. They are so ugly, not compatible with the rest of historic architecture, and above all, no one can sit by them because the dumb things are made of Corten steel full of red rust. I really hope the city government will get rid of those as soon as possible.

A beautiful Piazza
Feb 2019
I spend a lot of time in this Piazza. I am from NYC. I live here for a part of each year. There is a quiet or active life in this Piazza always. Come and enjoy.

Charming Medieval Town - The Duomo di Todi; Concattedrale della Santissima Annunziata (Roman Catholic cathedra
Oct 2018 • Couples
While visiting Perugia my wife and I took a short day trip to Todi via the bus. Now although not very far from Perugia (about 27 miles - 43 Km) it takes almost 1 1/2 hours by bus because of all of the stops along the way. Also the day we went schools were in session and yes, the bus was filled with students making their way from Perugia to Todi but we didn't mind, it was a nice ride to see the local parts of Umbria on the way.

Todi is a must see Medieval town with a sense of old and slightly new. The main part is obviously the Piazza del Popolo and it is a charming village square with a lovely Caffe', shops, restaurants, wine bar etc. The Duomo di Todi; Concattedrale della Santissima Annunziata (Roman Catholic cathedral) is beautiful like so many of the Churches in Italy.

There is a visitors center which opened at 10 and the woman working there was quite helpful and charming and provided plenty of information and the required map of the Town.

The real treat in Todi is when you wonder away from the Piazza and stroll up and down the wonderful ancient streets and walkways away from the center of the village. It's a rather small town so you can really see all of it in a few hours, just wear comfortable shoes and take your time. We arrived about 9:30am and saw the entire town and had a light snack at the Wine Bar, Veneria San Fortunato before heading for the bus back to Perugia at 1:45.
