About
Roccafiore wines: when nature becomes choiceness. Roccafiore's wines are not a simple oenological proposal, but the result of a perfect synergy between the land, microclimate and vines, valid interpretation of the country and rediscovery of traditional practices. The care for the soil and the ancient ecological balances of todi’s territory is the base for the research of excellence, the highway through which nature becomes choiceness.

Winery tour
Jan 2019 • Couples
We visited this winery with Discovering Umbria tours. Tour the winery and production areas, see the vineyards, taste the beautiful wine. You take wine home and keep enjoying your visit to the winery! This winery has researched and invested significantly on being eco friendly and it is a beautiful place to visit.

Do Not Stop Here
Jul 2018 • Family
My family and I stop here for a wine tasting, and I am sorry to say, we had a terrible experience. During our week long trip to Umbria, we went to a number of wineries and this one was definitely the worst experience. First of all, we the grounds of Roccafiore are beautiful and obviously well-kept. However, rather than doing the wine tasting in a comfortable location, we were sent to an uncomfortable room that felt like a sauna. One person was doing a wine tastings for four groups and was not able to pay adequate attention or fully answer questions because she was so busy. Additionally, we were really not impressed with the wine at all. I would say it was just okay, and poor compared to the many other wineries we visited. Finally, the price of 15 euros for 5 small tastings was just way too expensive. For example, the day before, we paid 15 euros, but the bottles were left on the table and we were served cheeses, meats and breads. Plus the wine was better!! Anyway, my recommendation is to skip Roccafiore - you can find MUCH better in Umbria!!

We are very sorry about your review! During the high season we have many people coming to visit us and, with a so busy schedule, the respect of the time is very important for a fluent management of guided tours and tastings. And that day you were 30 minutes late, so this is the reason of the overlapping with other guests. The presence of several groups in the same time, obviusly, involves paying less attention to the individual, but doesn’t mean that it is not appropriate (also in your case, of course!). Tours and Wine tastings booked that day (and always) have been carried out regularly without any lack, respecting and taking care of all those hospitality criteria to whom we pay a lot of attention! About the room where you tasted the wines, we can not consider it "uncomfortable", being a room with all the services, a beautiful view and tastefully decorated with designer items. Regarding price, food and bottles on the table, we would like to make clear that we aren’t a wine bar or winery restaurant. Roccafiore Winery is a place to enjoy the experience of tasting wines not a place for eating or drinking like in a restaurant.

Wine Tour and Tasting
Jun 2018 • Couples
We had a wonderful time at the Roccafiore Winery. Thank you !! Our host kindly fitted us in although they were preparing for a wedding that day. The location is beautiful, great views of the rolling Umbrian countryside and the building a tasteful modern twist. It was great to learn about the local wines and visualise the various processes. We really enjoyed the tasting, our host was very friendly and accommodating and she answered all of our questions!! Would highly recommend the tour and tasting to anyone interested in going.

Wine tasting in Umbria
Jul 2017 • Friends
We booked a private tour of this small winery located near Todi, Umbria, Italy. It is about 90 miles north of Rome. An easy two hour drive.

We had a wonderful hostess who took us through the winery explaining about the area, the wines, in the area and their wines specifically.

Our tour included tasting 5 wines and a picnic lunch overlooking the winery and the surrounding area and lasted approximately 2 hours. The have excellent wines - both red and white and reasonably priced. The cost was about 30 Euros per person.

A perfect mix of modern and old. The wines, olive oil and meats were delightful and the tour of the property was great. An excellent way to spend an afternoon.

Fantastic tasting and tour
I recently visited the Winery with family and friends. Laura gave us a warm welcome and was a great guide. We had a fantastic tasting where we also got to try the food produced on site it was all fantastic. The tasting was informative and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Great value wines too. I will recommend.

Lovely place & great wine!
Ordered a lovely picnic for a group of 8. Was given in depth information about the backgrounds of the wines made there.

The wines itself were superb and weren't too expensive at all, and to top it off the scenery is unbelievable.

A majestic experience
Jul 2012 • Couples
After enjoying Roccafiore wines in Los Angeles for about a year, I learned about the vinery, inn and spa from a chance dinner with Luca Bacarelli in Los Angeles. I decided to surprise my husband with a trip to Roccafiore for his 40th birthday. It was worth the long trip!!! Location and its views take your breath away. The Inn, is a mix of modern luxury, tradition and grace. The warmth and hospitality of the Bacarelli family and their staff is second to none. Indoor and outdoor spaces are well designed, elegant and provided for every comfort and accommodate just about every desire. The food is organic and delicious. Every meal and every is elegantly presented and the menu is a great mixture of dishes, sure to satisfy the most discriminating tastebuds. Luca-restaurant manager, made our every dinner special, had great suggestions for my meat loving husband and kept me (non meat eater) clear of dishes that contained meat and made sure that our table was ready for us, any time we came down to eat dinner, and of course had the perfect wine paired for our meal. The spa was luxurious, modern and soothing and used all organic products. My massage was incredible and I am loving the face products I picked up from Comfort Zone. We did not want to drive, so they had arranged for a driver for us, which picked us up from the train tracks, and took care of us during our stay. We were given a private tour of their state of the art wine making facility, which should just how much pride and care goes into their process of wine making. When we needed to leave an hour prior to start of their breakfast, they arranged to have breakfast and coffee ready for us so we would none head out on an empty. Every single moment we felt take care of and pampered. This little dream spot has left most lasting impression on me, I am already, plotting a return trip. It is ideal for both romantic gateways and family trips and no matter where you maybe coming from, it is well worth the trip. Ciao!!!!
