Brethless experience!

It's a wonderful adventure, highly recommended. It's hard to reach the top of the mountain, but finally you'll enjoy a spectacular Mother Nature's fireworks.

A must do if you're visiting Stromboli. Although a trek...it is well worth it when the belly of the beast opens and the flames fly high. Once in a lifetime experience!

A wonderful and unforgettable experience! We went up 5 p.m. with "Magmatrek" a local organization with reasonable pricing, nice guides and a stay of 60 min at the top / viewpoint. 3 h walk up with every 30 min break, 1,5 down, the ascend was good for all (easy). We saw sun down and 4 active volcanoes. One was active... More

If you ever find yourself in Southern Italy, don't miss the Stromboli Vulcano. The little city is just out of this world! No cars allowes, and everybody is so relaxed and nice, and always smiling. The beach has black sand from the volcano. In order to see the volcano activity, I recommend also a night tour

We stayed on the island for four days in April - slightly more than some may do, BUT, we stayed long enough to give us the option of postponing our walk for two days until the weather was at its best. We met some people in our first two days who had climbed the evening before, only to find it... More

I am not in great shape so this was a really tough hike for me. Disappointed that we did not see activity as it was a very foggy and windy night. We stayed at the top for only about 20 minutes. Visibility was terrible. The descent was otherworldly in the fog, wind and through the black volcanic sand. It felt... More

A long hike but absolutely worth it to see the eruptions. The view in the dark is amazing and the walk back down surreal and dream-like. Recommend gaiters to keep sand and ash out of walking boots

Not worthwhile to visit. We made a guided tour. Weather was excellent. But when arriving the crater, the guide told us, that there is not good view due to very steamy eruptions. No lava eruptions to be seen. The guide told us later, that this is the case for quite a while........For a 6 year child the extreme wind on... More

Stromboli, an incredibly stunning ...mirage? Appearing suddenly from out of the mist/cloud/steam/smoke that cloak the summit, it is a beautiful, unique, volcanic island. Part of the Aeolian chain in Southern Italy, we considered the ferry in Naples to get to Stromboli. In the end, caught the boat from Tropea to Stromboli. Most visitors to the island go to climb or...
