The new thermae
Sep 2020
The ancient thermae were close to the river and in the first years of last century they were an important center for health using wonderful water. Now the thermae are beside the casino’, inside a beautiful park

Fabulous - never seen a spa like it!
Feb 2020 • Friends
This is a huge operation. On arrival the actual building is stunning and awe-inspiring! On arrival we realised this was a lot bigger than we’d expected as we were faced with a big queue to check-in. After being given our robe, towel and flip-flops (I’d bring my own flip-flops if I came again) we went to the changing room which was very busy. As soon as you then enter the therme you are overwhelmed by the variety of options before you from different pools (none that you can swim in just to be aware) and jacuzzis to steam, sauna and numerous relaxation spaces. The tea dotted around the place is a nice touch. We booked a 50min massage which was excellent. We arrived at 1700 and stayed until 2230 and probably only went to about half of it because it’s so vast! I didn’t hear a word of English spoken which we liked - it was clearly just full of locals treating themselves to a spa at the weekend. The apéritivo which is included in the price was very nice and a great experience. Cheese, ham, bread and fruit with your choice of bubbles of fruit juice. All in all a great experience and I’d highly recommend. It took us 45 mins from Bergamo at 1700 and 35 mins back at 2230. Thé white taxi was €75 there and €60 back.

Really appreciate the place
Feb 2020 • Couples
It’s our second time at the terme and for sure we will come back. Different pools, sauna, shower types. I would recommend to have some water fontaines and not only the available free tea. Very relaxing zone....and a lot of young people who enjoy the place. The changing room were perfect, available cosmetic products and everything a woman would need :)
We also had lunch, but we had to wait around 15min in order to have an available table. The food was delicious, soups, salads, cheese, focaccia, water, coffee and wines, desserts and fruits ( we paid around 20 eur ).

Not Disabled Friendly
Jan 2020 • Family
The spa has no disabled access anywhere. The spa sits on a hill. When we drove up to it, there was a gate on the right hand side with a wheelchair sign. We rang the buzzer and the girl told us it was not possible to use that gate. We rang again and then I spoke to her in Italian and she said the same thing and to go to the left of the building to find the road that went to the thermal spa.

Found the road and it was everything one expects from Italian roads in the mountains—narrow, bendy and steep. Luckily there were no cars coming down. We got up to the top, dropped my daughter off and was told that I couldn’t leave the car there so I had to go back to park it down below.

There were no disabled changing rooms or family rooms although staff were kind enough to let us use the luxury men’s changing room as they had cordoned it off for the day.

The spa itself had one lift going up to the spa area and one more lift at the far end of the building that took you to the other spa areas. There were no handrails on any of the steps leading into any of the pools. There was one toilet that had a disabled toilet inside in the spa area and another just outside of the food area.

There were loads of pools to try though I found the smaller outside pools not hot enough to combat the cold air. There were about 5-6 saunas and 3 steam rooms. There weren’t any water spouts in any of the pools although the pools themselves had a lot of massaging semi circular bars and chairs. They did have a small waterfall however, just off the main outside pool.

We were there on a Friday so it wasn’t so busy. We paid extra to have lunch which was €22 a person. Lunch consisted of lots of cold things; salad, cheese, salumi, bread, fruit, squiggly stuff on bread and two hot soups. Certainly not worth the money. I’d recommend eating before coming and then having the aperitivo that’s on from 17:30-20:30 that’s included in your entry ticket. The apertivo is no great shakes as it’s leftovers from lunch but much less and no plates. The only beacon of light of the entire meal on rickety chairs was the free flowing Prosecco, wine and water and the stunning surroundings as the dining hall is in the old part of the building.

We ended up staying until nearly midnight. It’s really easy to spend the entire day there as there are loads of pools, rooms, saunas and steam rooms. I did not dare drive back up in the dark while it was raining so instead we got my daughter to walk the few steps onto the unlit pathway that leads down to the street.

I noticed that the main demographic of spa users were young fit people who really enjoy canoodling in the dark corners of the pools. I liked that they gave us two sets of robes (which you’ll need as the robes get soaking wet) as well as towels and flip flops. I didn’t like that there wasn’t any drinking water while we were in the spa areas, only heathy tea self served in small disposable cups. I really don’t like that they’ve actively excluded a part of the population.

Nice visit

The facility and staff is really good. We visited during national holiday so the facility was quite busy but handled it well.

Excellent but very busy
Nov 2019
Excellent place to visit however very busy so much so that we struggled to get to experience some of the different types of experiences.

Problems also with issued dressing gowns going 'missing' which resulted in a trip back down to reception to get a replacement. There needs to be a better system in place to ensure that the one issued to you doesn't go 'missing'.

That said loads to experience and the lunch was lovely.

Mixed feelings
Nov 2019
A nice place in a nice environment. Not the best spa nor the worse. It could be so much better. I suggest you going during the day in order to see the surroundings. I believe staying there a whole day is an exaggeration, half-day I suppose its ok. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. We went on weekend and it was crowded so manage according to your preferences.

Incredible
Aug 2019
A note from quite dynamic couple, which can hardly spend more than three hours in one place - just fabulous!!! Worth spending several days. I think, Nestle could be jealous as they own the production facility only, missing this legendary treasure :) Ideal arrangements for true switch off and relax. Supreme unobtrusive hospitality. Hope, when it becomes proven and widely known must-visit, they will not drop off all those nice minutiae, like refreshment tea, care product offers, fragrances, carefully designed couches and pillows, etc.

Wonderful visit!!
Jul 2019 • Solo
I have been quite a few times to both Qc Terme's Nuovi & Vecchi in Bormio..
It is always my no 1 visit when i stay in Bormio.
Staying in Roncobello this time so i spent the day at the QC San Pellegrino terme.
It is vast & i was there 9 hours & i still did not do everything there is to offer.
You need 2 visits i think to do it all.
Its opens 9.30 & closes at 11pm & for 1 fee of €48 you can stay all day until it closes.
If you get a letter from your your hotel showing your dates of stay you can get €4.80 off the price. It is €48 on a weekday & slightly more for the weekend.
I suggest you go during the week if you can it is much quieter.
You get a robe, towel & flip flops.
In the shower room it has everything you need to shower & hardryers etc.
The lockers are simple to use & very secure.
I suggest you put sunscreen on & wear sunnies in the outdoor pools etc.
The staff at the reception desk are very friendly
You can book a massage or the buffet lunch through them.
I will definitley be back again before i leave.
