Great

We visited the spa after a long day on the slopes. It was very relaxing and offered alot of different treatments, polite and very service minded staff. Fair prices.. Unfortunately the outside spa was not heated, and we could have used alittle help with how to use the salt room correct :) but overall a nice and cosy spa, and recommendable.

Friendly, genuine and relaxing

This spa exceeded our expectations regarding facilities, variety and freshness. Friendly and helpful staff helped out with a smile on their faces. There was a nice little bar service with direct access from the spa area. Outdoor hot pool, salt cave, steam- and regular sauna, massage treatments and packages - everything a skiers body needs on spa day. What takes it to Excellent is the rock interior, the quality and variety.

Has potential but needs some improvements

My husband and I visited here on a day off from skiing. We were disappointed that there was no hot tub. The outdoor tub had cold water. The inside pool had cold water. The saltwater pool had cold water. Overall it was ok. We received a massage, which was good and a great price. But I struggle to relax in a cold pool in the winter.

Nice hotel spa

We were not staying in the Hotel Besson but paid to use the facilities as part of our Inghams package. Reception staff very friendly. Changing room is like the 2nd steam room and very small/wet so no real chance of getting dry. Outdoor hottub is the star of the show and bonus that you can take a drink in with you. Rest of the facilities were very nice and its a good way to spend a couple of hours after a hard day skiing especially as Sauze is not known for its afternoon apres.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3-4 hours at the Besson Spa. Good value (€25 each). Wasn't busy. Nice and clean. Plenty of options including outdoor jacuzzi, steam room, therapy pool, sauna, salt bath. We had a glass of Prosecco (€2.50 each) whilst we waded in the water. An hours siesta on the comfy loungers overlooking the mountain. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I think I am glad we weren't staying at the hotel though as it is quite a walk from the slopes although I understand they have a shuttle bus. Walking down their took us through Sauze D'Oulx old town which was nice to see. All in all I would, highly recommend a visit if your hotel doesn't have its own spa facilities.

Very relaxing day with highly professional staff
Jan 2017 • Couples
My girlfriend and I got a good deal on Groupon for a 2-person fully day at the SPA including 3 treatments: 1 scrub, 1 massage and 1 hour in a private room with Jacuzzi whirlpool (with one bottle of prosecco wine included, good idea). The SPA location is very nice with a beautiful mountain-facing view (it's a pity there was only a little snow around), the staff is very friendly and warm-welcoming; you immediately feel taken care of and they're around all the time in case you need something (special thanks to Ludovica for her kindness). The SPA is pretty nice, featuring a main indoor whirlpool with water jets, an outdoor heated-water barrel with whirlpool, 1 salted water indoor pool, 1 sauna, 1 steam bath, 1 salt scrub room, 1 relax room and many massage rooms. There's only one main cons, the overall space is pretty reduced, sunbeds are tightly placed and very close to the pools, even the changing rooms are pretty small and changing becomes a problem if more than 3 people are there at the same time.
So mind to spend preferably the morning at the SPA as it will easily become very crowded as soon as all the hotel guests are back from the ski area in the afternoon.
Other than that, the resort is very enjoyable, all the featured treatments and zones very comfortable, and most of all the staff is extremely kind and warm, but also professional at the same time. There is a bar always open to have a quick meal break; not a big choice (green salad and a toast sandwich) but the food is ok and much cheaper than you can expect. Overall we spent a very relaxing day, taking advantage of all the featured treatments. Maybe the featured price is a bit too high (Groupon claims our package to be over 300 euros full price), but if you find a reasonable deal on some website, it is really worth it. We'll be surely back again.

Lovely spa
Feb 2016 • Couples
The facilities are clean and classic and we enjoyed them a lot. The massage we took was very good and it's all reasonably priced for this sort of thing. The staff were really warm and friendly. The only thing to be aware of is that you can only call to make reservations during opening hours. We ended up just arriving without booking.

Absolutely excellent!

This Spa is all what you need after a day of skiing or after having spent a day trekking on the mountains! All the persons at the reception are extremely nice and we had a very warm welcome! We were explained in detail how the Spa was working and all the different services straight away and got into the Spa with no wait! The decoration is very nice as typical from a Chalet with stone and wood and there is a stunning view over the mountains thanks to a very large window facing the main pool/jacuzzi. There is a Sauna, a very nice Hammam with a lot of space and a room with some salt coming from Himalaya where you can do a scrub on your skin to complete the Sauna/Hammam treatment thanks also to the cold shower. There is also a swimming pool with salted water and mainly an incredible outside Jacuzzi where you can stay in the water under the sky and look at the marvellous mountains facing the Spa! Absolutely incredible! There is a Relax Room, a gym, a bar...everything you need! We did a special session where we followed an expert on how the Sauna/Hammam needs to be done ( how much time, how you should breath, which stretching exercises you need to do...) and it allowed us to enjoy even more the relax session!

I would highly recommend to come here as everything is just perfect! All the personnel will be extremely nice and helpful to guide you through all the services and you will have a great relaxing time!

Great after a day on the slopes
Jan 2014 • Couples
I have read all of the critical reviews on here and don't recognise them as describing the same place! Very odd. An example, someone did not bring towels from the hotel, the hostess said they should have, but could have spa towels, if they could just bring their hotel towels next time (seemed fair enough)! Facilities all in good order, had an excellent massage from the male masseur (my wife had only a fair one from the female), nothing wrong in change rooms, or with any of the spa elements, they were all most enjoyable (and the wife is VERY fussy about these things). Was free with the Grand Hotel Besson stay, so that helped, I'm sure, but we very much enjoyed all the facilities and used every day throughout our stay.
