Spend a very personal day with Chef Vincenzino in Ravello. After many years...

Spend a very personal day with Chef Vincenzino in Ravello. After many years as chef/owner of a restaurant, he decided to run a cooking school from his home, enjoying the people who love food, and "eat it with the heart and not just the mouth!" You will start with a visit to the little food shops located in the historic alley of Ravello, strolling through the pedestrian road that crosses the village. Along with Vincenzino, who speaks perfect English, you will meet with the owners of the small shops and be shown how the local people choose their fish, special homemade pasta, vegetables, and local and national wines. Together, you will decide what to buy and cook for your lesson. Then it is on to Vincenzino's home, gloriously situated on a clifftop 350 meters above sea level. You will proceed with the hands-on preparation of your lunch, from the starters to the dessert, wine, water and coffee included. Weather permitting, lunch will be served on the terrace to enjoy the spectacular view of the Mediterranean. The day begins between 9-10am and ends after your meal in the afternoon. US$210. per person, minimum two people

Our cooking class at Villa Maria was the highlight of our trip. While it was a little expensive, it was worth every penny. Our chef, Vincenzino, was instructive and personable - I'd take a whole cooking course with him, if I could. We helped make mozzarella, which we later got to have as an appetizer and they gave us the... More

We have taken many cooking classes - from one day to one week courses and this class ranks right up there. We started out learning how mozerella is made and then practiced the technique of making the balls which we later had in a caprese salad and even took some home! We made a mussel and clam pasta and sea... More

We were a tour group of 20 and had such a great time. My girls were with us and it was an experience of a life time. The group cooked bruschetta, pasta from scratch, sauce, chopped onions and garlic, sliced tomatoes from his own garden (all ingredients came from his garden). Cooked and prepared fish. Then we ate and had... More

If you're traveling to the Amalfi Coast and want a unique, memorable experience sign up for a cooking class with master chef Vincenzino! This was the highlight of our trip! First of all, the location cannot be beat. The kitchen is located on the property of Villa Maria Hotel. The garden (all of the herbs and vegetables are grown on... More

My husband and I had a wonderful time with Vincenzino. From the fish market to the organic garden to preparing and enjoying the courses of food - the whole thing was absolutely perfect. Vincenzino was a joy - he made us laugh, he taught us some incredible recipes, and gave us wonderful recommendations for places to eat in Ravello. And... More

We were given this private cooking class as a wedding present from some of our friends and could not have had a better experience. The surrounding area of Ravello is absolutely stunning and the cooking class was fun and informative. We had the opportunity to participate in the fresh mozzarella cheese making with Chef Biagio - and we got to... More

We arrived early and met the owner of Villa Maria where the class is held. He gave us a tour of the hotel and wine cellar. After he took us over to the class site. We met Vincenzino and his cheese maker. We took a beautiful tour of the garden. We talked about vegetables and how they are grown in... More

My husband booked us a cooking class with Vincenzo as part of our honeymoon in Amalfi... and it has definitely been the best experience so far. He has a very big heart and made sure we not only learned the preparation and techniques for each meal we cooked, but that we had an enjoyable time doing it. Everything is fresh...... More

We loved our cooking class with Chef Vincenzo and highly recommend it. He had been enthusiastically recommended by a friend -- and we couldn't agree more. It is truly a hands-on experience where you do the work...which means you actually learn how to do it. One of the highlights is that he films you using your phone describing what you're... More

If you do nothing else while vacationing on the Almalfi Coast, set aside a day to spend cooking with Vincenzo. This was easily my favorite experience of our trip. My husband and 24 year old son met Vincenzo in town and after a nice conversation we set out shopping for our meal. Stopping at the small local fish market and... More
